Re: General Progress By Pura. 13/01/10, 05:37 pm |
| ... So, um, I've decided I'm not as good at sewing as I pretend to myself that I am. Next time I will stare at material for a good solid hour before I decide which side I like best. (SO MANY HOURS WAISTED. //sob) Started making a petticoat today though. It's a "I have no clue how to do this, so I'll just go with what my head thinks works", which most of the time doesn't. ... So, um, yeah. It's actually pretty cool so far =w= I'll try and get some eleastic for it tomorrow, so that I can finish it. And maybe some lace to finish the ends off, if I feel the need to decorate something that most people won't see 8DD. ... I like how there might be enough material because I'm so short 8DDDDD. |

| @ Pura, I had something of the same experience. I made a pair of pleather pants and almost had a heart attack when I thought I cut out two right legs.
@Thread: Dress is slowwwly coming along. As its the first I've ever made, I don't think its doing too badly. Tomorrow -- sleeves and sailor collar. |

| Finally! Have finished up Red mage coat for Tracer...just gotta tidy it up a bit.
It looks kinda like a Badass santa, what with the white trimming on red....Hopefully this effect will be lessened when it has the cape over the top. |

It took three hours last night to overlock the lining pieces together, overlock the pleated panels together and then pin the two layers back together again. So much pinning and repinning and unpinning and pinning again ;) what character is that for? looks like C.Cs Clamp gown. |

Re: General Progress By Highlander. 16/01/10, 09:46 am |
| I managed to make it to Harrads fabric shop before it closed. So I now have two lots of fabric for one top and two props or under $20. And the prop fabric is unique in fabric shops in NZ, and end of line stock (cheap as a result too)? Backed industrial nylon, in black. Suppose to be for fabric boards, think notice boards. I will use it for gun holsters since I can't find the proper stuff. (Mechwarrior and Jayne/Firefly). Stiff as stuff. Will keep me busy for a little while.
And my flatmate is looking at the patterns for the Jayne Cobb hat too. So either she will make them, or I will learn to knit. But ... Jayne ... Hat!
