@Nee - Maddi and I are just making small versions of Remilia's/Flandre's wings, and hopefully having them easy to remove if necessary xD
Also - Maddi and I have most of the fabric we need, so we should be starting soon! >3<

Out of curiosity, is anyone gonna cosplay Touhou at Auckgeddon/other events this year? I'm considering doing Alice for Auckgeddon/ACP.

Does anyone have any idea how to make wings retractable? Or at least able to fold up. I'm just stuck for ideas as my wings will end up too to be able to comfortably walk around DO. c:

For retactable wings you'd need a sort of lever and pulley or at least a sort of lever system to pull them in and out 83

i would suggest bias unless you really want to go the whole 9 yards and embroider it 83

EKK! I accidentally snipped a tiny hole in the middle of my skirt....

I tried to patch it up but now it has a random tiny square in the middle of it.

The top layer covers it JUST on the borderline but it'll show when I move around. The hole is on the second layer. ;A;

I hope no one will notice it - I'll cover it with my bib! if I'm really desperate I'll try and cut that strip off and sew a new one in... 8D

I thought it was a tad too long... and like hell I can do all those neat little popping and locking moves etc, but I'll have to relearn this >D

I'll try to pump out lots of touhou themed things at DO this year, and I'm looking forward to seeing all of you! THIS WILL BE AMAZING

tbh, I'm pretty doubtful that I will have my Touhou cosplay done in time.. as I currently have no money whatsoever =w=

As for the skits/dances you gaiz should ttly dance to Marisa Stole the Precious Thing. idk if there's already a dance that goes for it. IOSYS~

Hi guys, sorry to bump (?) but I'd like peoples opinions.

I'm gonna be making Flandre's wings soon but am stuck-I've looked at several different ways to do them and have a plan to make 'em and all, but I'm remembering how crowded DO was last year and I'm afraid I'll poke people in the eye and such [even if I make them small/retractable]
So I thought maybe I could do plushie-type wings but~ I'm wondering if it'll look bad. I just don't want to hurt people/get them broken.

I say making mini versions out of something soft like fun foam is a good idea C: and make them detachable.

@Bloo how about putting some thicker wire inside with the stuffing? I'm sure people won't say it's bad or anything, they'll say it's cute, rather. :3
That way it's soft so people don't injure themselves, and you can bend it out of the way and back when you need it.
At least, I hope that'll work. 8D
