Unless Asumu was the surrogate mother for Battler (a fertilised egg implanted in her womb). i.e. Asumu can be his mother, can give birth to Battler, but he is not necessarily her son, if the egg was donated. Too technical?

Too technical.

The answer that everyone seems to agree on is that there are TWO people with the name Battler; our protagonist and someone else (the red text pretty much says so). There are, however, a large amount of theories of how this is possible.

And now we try to sort out which statements apply to which battler. Probably the Kinzo\'s Grandson applies to the protagonist, and the bit about not being Asumu\'s son. But the rest applies to the other Battler.

Meh. The protagonist is probably beatrice\'s son, who wanted to try life as a human or some such, and so lived within the original battler.

The most popular theory is Asumu's and Kyrie's babies were swapped. Others think its do with Kanon's real name. Jessicas birth is also suspicious (they had been trying for years, but it was a "miracle"). Some think it may have something to with the deceased Piece-Beato from Rosa's memory, who died around the time Battler/Jessica was born.

The swapped at birth thing makes most sense.

Ofcourse I like the 2 versions of Battler better. Kind of like the Schoedringer's cat analogy. Both the cat being alive and dead at the same time, exists because the box hasn't been opened. A Battler can exist who wins this game and escapes the island, alongside a Battler who dies in the game, both exist until the game is concluded.
Isn't that why you could have 2 Rosa's, or 2 Maria's exist. Why not 2 Battler's? Ofcourse none of this sorts out the contradiction in statements.

Its all over. DEEN did pretty well to fit it all in one episode. Although they didn't help themselves by dragging out 25 way longer than it should have been.

Just saw episode 26. Well, the ending was sucky. They need to have a second season? Does the human beatrice he's going to find and kill die? What happens to everyone on the island? Who survives? Did everyone die? Who is Battler's true mother....

Thats why the game will have 8 episodes. Anime only covered 4 of em.

On what format are the games played? Is there a PC version?
If it comes out in episodes, do you have to pay to download them piece by piece...
