On the subject of dying wigs, has anyone ever successfully completely changed the colour of a wig? As in from white to brown?

What do you use for wig dyeing anyway? @.@ I have a platinum blonde wig that would be much more useful to me if it was darker.

Acrylic ink + isopropyl alcohol + in a spray bottle = wig dye.

Dying of wigs has never looked that successful to me. Small colour changes are easier, but going from white to dark brown may be an issue, especially with a wig that long. Better to hunt out the right wig in this case, IMHO.

Yeah, I do think wig dyeing can be a bit hit and miss, so if you *can* find the right colour, you should run with it.

But it doesn't snow very often, right?

I wore shorts and sandals right up 'til the day there was snow that survived the morning thaw. I am very good at ignoring the elements. I'll bring winter-wear just in case, I suppose.

I've dyed blonde and white wigs, to: red, purple, yellow and silver so far.

Sharpie pens can work too, though they have limited colours and are expensive(ish)
Or notsharpiebutlooksimilarpens; they are cheaper and you can find heaps of colours, but they run out faster and are hmm kinda diluted? oO = so it totally stuffs up any ratio if you're actually trying to make a dye.

I've only experimented in darking wigs but I haven't actually darkend a full wig before.

Just note that sometimes dying the wig (depending which method + wig length) might end up costing more then buying a more expensive wig in the right colour.

Hurr. I made a bleach cosplay, so I know how to make kimonos 8DD. It was so easy that I can't wait xDD.

... And then I will die with hours and hours of hand painting OTL. What colour material should I use for the base? The one that has the most colour, so I don't have to hand paint that xDD. //will go look at image soon 8D.

Hurr. I plan to cheat with my obi 8D. I'm make it, and then join it with dome things. Like what syne did with Espeon xDD.

Edit: Kohane's kimono, do you think it's mainly yellow, or mainly red?

Mainly yellow, I'd say. Plus it'd be easier to paint the darker colour on top of the base one.

Yellow it is 8D.

i was just thinking... if i'm entering my himawari kimono in the ALA competition, TECHNICALLY i can't enter it in another one... D8 does this mean i have to make a second kimono?
