| I didn't like Tamaki's voice to begin with but it really grew on me - I think that when you watch the English ones you have to remember that it's a different interpretation. When you jump that language barrier you're never going to be able to get it to be identical simply because of the different way the languages behave - people speak in different manners in different languages and in some cases it's impossible to mimic that.
I do agree that dubs are getting better every year though - most of the original dubs way back when were AWFUL. |

Or a fight between the Japanese and English VAs. Could be fun, as long as you give the English VA a foam weapon and the Japanese one a real one... :-p mrr our wish (the people are biased against dubbed anime ... me included) but tchyeah you learn to take what you can get
i think that its because the fan base in NZ just isnt big enough to warrant a japanese seiyuu to come here
e.g. Chihara Minori was in Kuala Lumpur this year (tears of blood fall TTwTT) and the Klang Valley (think Auckland City alone) has the same population as the entire NZ so ... maybe if the entire population of NZ liked anime then maybe? 8DDD LETS GET MINORIN OVER FOR 2010.
I MEAN IF TOWNBERRY (Also j1m + Jouttex/Danie who tagged along) COULD WHY CAN'T WE ;A; (note: she also got about 7 copies of the Parade photobook, or so I've heard from people on IRC)
English Lelouch, you mean the guy who was more Lelouch than Lelouch as said by the Japanese?
This might proof interesting. |

| God I just can't afford to travel even MORE next year yet, somehow, I know I'll probably end up going to this. XD
I've seen some American cons that bring in the Seiyuu along with a translator and the pannels have turned out really well (both of Kappei Yamaguchi's ones at past American cons have been nothing short of amusing) - but I think finding a translator is often a big issue, which is why it's harder to bring them along.
PS - All these Dissidia fans here and NO ONE has mentioned Johnny's Firion? XD FOR SHAME, guys! |

| Kakihara Tetsuya can speak German 8D
*sigh* I wish I wish..... I would die for a Jap seiyuu to step their feet onto Kiwi soil....
But yes, one thing I DO AGREE on dubs is that they are getting better. Gosh, I think the first dub I watched that didn't tear my ears out and make them bleed was Inuyasha the first movie. :/ And then, after watching random brief bits of random series on TV they seems to be improving.
But like Alena, I'm still biased towards the original language.... America still has yet to sway me 8D
..... I WOULD DIE for Hoshi Souichirou 8D
Mmmm..... various roles.... 8DDDDDDDDDDDDD |

| If you're bugged by females casting as male roles, you'll be pretty bugged by most anime since A LOT of adolescent males are done by females. :B This is referring to the original Japanese audio. Though, Ash's voice (Pokemon dub) was casted by a female as well, I think. |

Japanese Inuyasha vs English... some of the voices meshed
And seeing what my voice is like, if i wasn't asthmatic and so retarded i probably COULD voice act >.> ( @___@ i found a part i tried to do for a Sailor moon fandub once.... >_< i cant stand it case it was ten years ago an my voice was better sounding then LOL) |

Oh YES he is. I'd have to put him as one of my top faves of all time (the guy is like a little kid in his interviews and when he's on stage at Jump Festa each year. It's REALLY adorable. ;_; |
