So who's keen for a Terminator cosplay group? Probably not a competition group, coz it's all closet/second handing (unless someone is keen for T1000-ing it up.

Who doesn't love stolen pants, undercuts and aviators? Very Happy

(Anyone who mentions Salvation gets a shotgun to the ear! Ditto to anyone who mentions the tv-show-that-shall-not-be-named!)

Coz Sarah Connor is pretty much my hero at the moment.

And I was young enough when this movie came out that it's ok that I have a crush on this guy:

I would vote for a non-competition day. I'm in Wellywood and SS is in Hawkes Bay, so Wellygeddon would work. (I'm also hoping to be hitting overseas next winter; might not be in the country for Auckgeddon.) The costumes aren't complicated or expensive, even a decent prosthesis for our Arnie would be pretty easy to whip up. We could go for 2010.

Sort of, but the point is different. I hold that the future *is* set, because our behaviour is predetermined by our character, by who we are, how we act. And if the way everyone acts is predetermined, so is our collective future. The key difference is the discussion of if the future is set, or not.

Hey creature, have you perchance been reading the Foundation saga by Isaac Asimov? If not, you might want to check it out, especially the predictions by the character Harry Selden, as he applied what you've described, on a macro level.

I dunno. I kinda use my enthusiasm for the cosplay help me decide between groups.... hmm... not well known Yu-Gi-Oh side character vs. Arnie the Terminator!
No contest.
Besides, I could probably do yu Gi Oh in another geddon if I really wanted. I somehow don't think we'll get many opportunities to do a Terminator group again.
