| best movie ever! didn't cry in it though.
I am very disappointed in all my local shops, as well as the Warehouse, the CD & DVD store, Sounds, MyMusic and all the other DVD shops in Waitakere who fail to sell this movie! |

Re: THE LION KING By Suixelo. 15/05/08, 01:06 pm |
| Someone stole my original VHS copies so I had to go buy DVDs. Sadface. Anywhoo, yes, my favourite Disney movie ever, and I am a Disney geek. I had the playset and all the toys and used to make up new stories for all the characters. I cried in the middle of the Disney Store in Brighton when a staff member told me Lion King 2 was coming out XD Um. I have so much merchandise still. It's awesome. And I saw the musical in Melbourne in 05<3
I miss the Disney Store. We should get them here! |

Re: THE LION KING By Suixelo. 15/05/08, 01:18 pm |
| I KNOW, I WAS LIKE DSFHAIFJLAFKASD. Performing Arts trip with my school. We were in Sydney for 4 days and Melbourne for 4 days, and on our last night in Melbourne, we went to TLK. It was amazing omgosh. We all cried all the way through, especially since it was the last night.
Haha exactly. I tend to hang onto my VHS copies of childhood movies, though. Like The Labyrinth. Before the big re-release, it was out of print in the UK and my dad spent a year searching for it for me because I rented it out every week haha. |

| Ah. I have the video here somewhere. I haven't watched it in years though My friend and I used to re-enact the Lion King 2 when we to watched it. What you do when you are young -.-;
P.S The Labyrinth is the weirdest movie ever, but the fox that rides on the sheepdog is total win! XD
*Edit* Does anyone know where to buy the dvds? I am trying to replace all my old disney movies, because my videotapes are starting to wear out. |

| Me too! We used to put on little productions for the parents.
I don't get why people call it weird! Probably because I'm so used to it by now. Sir Didymus! Aww I love him. In a non-furry way lol |

Re: THE LION KING By _BlazingBlossom_. 17/05/08, 02:37 pm |
| It's not that it's weird. It's really well done as would be expected of Jim Henson, just David Bowe's random songs are a bit weird, but I think he fit the part of the goblin king. Sir Didymus is just is awesome though. My favourite line in the whole is movie is "Ambrosious get over here. Your embarrassing me!". I have no idea why I find it funny though.
I used to do that with all my disney movies and I thought I was alone! XD. I can still say the words to "the Goofy movie" line for line, although hardly anyone has seen that movie =.=. |

| lol I love his random songs! I must admit though, Within You always seemed random to me, especially the jump to the next song's tempo. lmao bless. I do love that bit though. I'm planning to get a tattoo of an auryn and "You have no power over me." going around it. Neverending Story geek as well ^^ I can't really put into words what it means, but I'm sure you can guess.
I saw it, I just didn't think much of it ^^; I did it with everything though, Sailor Moon, Pokemon, Digimon, Disney... |

Re: THE LION KING By Auroa. 18/05/08, 05:15 pm |
| Oh! oh! Goofy movie I luvs that =3 heh the bigfoot guy dancing to staying alive song always made me crack up. whoa random.
I only saw the Labyrinth a few years ago, it was... interesting. I want to see it again though cause I've forgotten most of it D:
LOL, I think my brother, friend/(neighbour) and her sister and I used to re-enact scenes from the Lion King. Right now I specifically recall mufusa's scene actually, I think one of us was hanging from the edge of the trampoline =P as well as the scenes with the hyena's heheh. wow... I still remember most of the lines (lol wrote lions) from that movie... Actually if I'm not mistaken Lion King influenced our game we called "the animal game" yeah creativemuch? It was really fun though, oh good times =P
I feel the need to mention lion king 3 aka 1 1/2 anyone seen that? |

| I just bought the goofy movie the other day! (@ the warehouse...) It is made of such win.
Whenever my friends and I go tramping in <strike>the wild</strike> wherever it is we're going, we always try to re-entact the opening scene with Rafiki and Baby!Simba (while singing the opening song, and mutilating the african really badly). It's a lot of fun....
(and while we're talking about Labyrinth: I love that movie. Although it disturbs me 'cause I can never figure out how old Davie Bowie is in it... or even how old he is now... ) |

and oh lord those disturbingly tight pants that he (David Bowie) wears... and it turns out he's about 30 in the movie... (born=1947, movie=1986) For those of you who can't remember/don't know about the pants, just googleimage david bowie and labyrinth, and you'll see.... |

Re: THE LION KING By Annabel. 30/08/08, 11:12 am |
| I don't think Kimba and TLK are *that* similar. The story is too different. But lol, I don't care. :'D The Lion King is great, even if you do think it's a shameless ripoff. Let's face it, guys, Disney animation kicks Kimba's white ass. That's kinda like bringing up the bit where the petals spell "SEX" in the air and saying "OMG, THEY STOLE THAT FROM REAL LIFE!" |
