I've been practising, and realised I really need to focus on my feetwork, as my 2 left feet are tripping me up all the time! How are you guys going?

FFFFUUU-

Just realised the AMV showing on Saturday. I can't remember exactly what time it is and for some reason I can't load any page on the Geddon site so I can't check. I think it's at 4/4:30 though, and I do want to see my stuff up there on the projector (and see every one elses). I'll practice extra hard to make sure I won't eff up >.<

@Kyokyo- I know what u mean! I struggled a lot but by the 3rd practise Im starting to see some improvement.

@Saboteur and everyone- Yeah, I totally want to see the AMVs as well! Are we able to meet up afterwards? If we're all gonna be at the screening, we could meet up there then.

Good God! You don't realise how slow the tutorial guy is going till you do it at full speed lol. I got the hang of the first bit at tutorial speed but then tried full speed and totally lost it XD

Yeah the tute is real slow compared to the real one. I practise the footwork to speed first, then once thats down, Im gonna add the hands and upper body.

At saboteur- I'm chatting with Aura about the stereo we're gonna use, but I'm gonna copy the music from the clip (including the football part). So maybe we should start from the footbal huddle? Just an idea.

I was wondering, are we all going to be dancing the same steps (i.e. Beyonce's part) or have some people doing the back up parts and some doing Beyonce's part, like in the football vid?

@Kyokyo: We're doing the football version, which varies from the original
(notably there are only 5 "All the Single ladies" at the intro instead of Beyonce's 7,
and they repeat a bit of the chorus when doing the "freeze" then going onto the "grind" ).
Basically learn the part played by the middle row, but for bits where
the camera doesn't focus on the football players, use the tutorial to guide you on what to do. Note that only our back row is the only row that turns around and does the arms "flailing" bit, i.e. me and Saboteur and... 1 other person. Lemme work out the positions again.

P.S> We're on 10.30 Sunday as part of the "Outdoor Cosplay Games" after the Caramelldansen. At 10 we're supposed to meet up by the ticket entrance for the start of the Games. I have amended the first post accordingly.

Aha, I think I'm finally getting there! I think it will be a lot easier once we're all doing it together. I've actually found it easier to just watch the football vid over and over again instead of trying to follow the tutorial, as there's so many points where it differs.

For the back row: I've noticed there's a lot of bits where the back row is just running around in circles (hehe, it's awesome), it would be difficult to fit the flamboyant fellas' tut bits in there. So will we just... Run around in circles?

Yeah, there's a few cuts to the crowd where you can't tell what the footballers are doing, I think it's about ten seconds or so long, after 'decided to dip' and before the spinning and arm flailing. Like... it looks like the back line are just running around in circles. I'm kind of lost on that bit.

I've been really busy with deadlines on school assignment so i haven't really had any time to practice ; ;
I'm so glad we're meeting up on the Saturday.
I have the first part of the dance down...
So you guys can fill me in on the second half of the dance, right?
and we're only doing the short version like in the clip...hm?
