Presenting the

Christchurch Cosplay Club's Christmas Party 2009 Wreath

Date: December the 4th
Time: 7pm, please don't arrive earlier then 6:30pm
While the main party will finish by 11pm on Friday night, the event will continue until 11am Saturday morning, for those that wish to stay the night
Where: St Michaels School Hall, Cnr Tuam and Durham St, inner city
Cost: $5 prepay or $10 at the door
To prepay before the event, and pay half price, please transfer/deposit $5 to the following bank account number. PLEASE make sure you put your username as reference and post here when you pay so that I can match timestamps if need be.

We need to receive your prepayment by Thursday 3rd of December, in order to count you as prepaid. Prepayments will only be refunded if the event is cancelled. It's your responsibility to attend if you have prepaid, because your entry fee will have been allocated on funding this event.

We currently have had about 14 people prepay, which gives us a current budget of $70 or so.

Of that, I've bought about $25 worth of food (chicken nibbles and
sausage rolls) + $20 of food left over from Halloween. I've spent
another $20 on decorations.

So we have about $45 remaining. We still have to pay for the hall hire, as well as maybe buy prizes and a few other things.

So, would you rather we spent all the remaining money on bying food and
people don't have to bring a plate. (but the food provided would be of
limited selection and quantity)

Or are you happy to bring a plate, and would rather we spend the
remaining money of stuff like prizes and decorations and food to
compliment what people bring and have a really nice dinner with lots of
food selection.

If you make it earlier rather than later, I'll be able to come! I leave for the UK on the 15th of December, so the 12th is perfect for me.

This is still happening. I've got it pencilled down for December 12. I've got most of the main details pressed. Just need to make a topic on it. Both can still happen I guess. If you guys hold it on the 19th, I'll be more than happy to come up.

Wel'll move ours so that we can accomodate both events should people wish to go to both.

To avoid missing steph, and so that the event isn't too close to the Christmas rush, Aura and I have decided upon Friday 4th of December, venue pending.

This will avoid people being tired on Sunday morning, for the Santa Parade.

My thoughts on this are that - the hall hire is the same whether or not we do something long or short.

If there are enough people interested (and available) for an overnight event, we might as well do that. It will still be an event from 7-11, it will just continue after 11 up until 12pm the next day should people wish to stay and have fun/hangout/sleep etc (though people are free to leave earlier - so long as it's not the middle of the night and they're walking home or something silly!).

So unless there is an overwhelming number of people who would not be staying overnight (even if this is going to be an overnight event), we should make it overnight.

(obviously you should still vote, so we can see how overwhelming - or not - it is)

yeah, basically the cost is the same overnight, but it's just a bit more effort on the organizers part, so we want to make sure people are going to want to stay over before going to that extra effort :)

I would put myself down for staying overnight (I'll bring sleeping bag etc), but there's always a chance that my inner-grandma will strike and I'll have to go home at 11 due to tiredness. Especially considering that week is exam week for me! DX
