Code Geass <3

Well Japan have kinda been sensitive about episodes of anime that might offend victims of recent disasters. For example:

- Full Metal Panic got delayed once after 9/11 due to one of their plotlines involving a plane hijacking (unsure on this one actually)
- Full Metal Panic Fumoffu had episode 2 cancelled because it involved a fake kidnapping and at the time there was a kidnapping incident in Japan.
- X/1999 was rumoured to have been cancelled shortly after an earthquake hit Japan and the latest volume of the manga had depicted a earthquake hitting Tokyo.
- School Days was probably one of the more recent ones and more notorious ones in which the last episode was cancelled abruptly and replaced with footage of various scenery and most notably a 'Nice Boat' in its place due to a case of a 14 year old girl killing her father with an axe and School Days was an eroge game that was known for its BAD END involving the gruesome death of one of the main characters so it was anticipated that something similar would occur in that episode.
- Also following in the footsteps of School Days, Higurashi no Naku Koro ni Kai had an episode delayed on the same week since someone had made mention that the 14 year old axe murder case sounded like something out of the first season of Higurashi and as a result to be cautious they postponed the following ep.

So yeah, it's not much of a surprise if R2 ep 9 was delayed due to the recent earthquakes in China, especially considering the storyline is set to move to China at that episode.

man... i hate it when recent events get in the way of our anime-craving =[ it's really just bad luck these things happen! apparently something was up with a spiderman movie because of the 9/11 tragedy....something about featuring the twin towers @@

After watching episode 8, I feel that I need to make a Spartacus joke.

- I am Zero!
- No, I am Zero!
- I'm Zero!
- We're all Zero!

Oh, the fact Lelouch has mass produced his Zero outfit amuses me greatly, I mean there was 1 million people in that crowd and they ALL were wearing Zero outfits! So now through various loopholes exploited by Lelouch's cunning and careful planning with the help of Diethard and Sayoko (who now knows Lelouch is Zero, which is nice seeing as she IS Lelouch's personal maid), the Black Knights say goodbye to Area 11 and say hello to China now. I have a general idea on what's going to happen now.

Xingke and Lelouch are going to team up and drive the eunuchs out of China so that Xingke can fully establish Empress Tianzi as a proper ruler of the Chinese Federation rather than just a figurehead. Once that is done I imagine they'll turn on each other since I don't see either side trusting each other for too long. Clearly Xingke is just using the Black Knights to wage war on the corrupt eunuchs and Lelouch is using the Chinese as a political supporter against Britannia, that relationship can't last long.

Speaking of Xingke, did anyone else laugh when he started coughing out blood? I swear it must be part of the bishounen swordsman job description for them to have tuberculosis (or at least a similar condition that makes the character cough out blood occasionally and shorten their lifespan). Lets see, Okita from the Shinsengumi (and therefore all anime incarnations of him) had it, Tachibana Ukyo from Samurai Shodown has it, Kimimaro from Naruto had it, Ukitake from Bleach has it, and now Li Xingke has it. There's like one in every series. The general speculation is that this is influenced by his Knightmare, the Shen-Hu, which is known to kill those who pilot it.

Also the matter of what will Britannia do now is put into play. They're obviously going to end up going to China as well, otherwise we'd just be seeing Suzaku and co hang out in Area 11 for ages. Maybe they'll declare war against them seeing as Schneizel seems to have settled matters with the EU, or at the very least got France to surrender.

Oh and they finally revealed what happened with Nina during the Black Rebellion, her bomb was a dud and she failed to kill everyone obviously. Haha to her.

Well, now our 2 week wait begins.... they even removed the next ep preview from the end of the episode. How annoying.

Yeah I saw the dog in the screenshots afterwards and thanks for the comment on the box, I was so happy to have found the box AND get Liam O'Brian to write that down for me in time for the cosplay competition.

Anyways, as I mentioned earlier, Episode 9 of Code Geass R2 is delayed until next week, possibly due to the Earthquakes in China but none the less, there is no ep this week. *sob*

Back in season 1 they screened a recap ep when they didn't have the actual ep made in time, doesn't seem to be the case here this time. Although I think now would be a good time to reflect back on thoughts of Geass so far, if for no other reason
but to just talk about Geass.
