I went to wellygeddon without a place to stay I wandered around found some random CNZ person [i wasn't even on CNZ] and they let me stay with them at some backpackers. then i overspent my money and stayed with xiggers XD

Don't forget, you'll need cash on you on the FRIDAY MORNING to pay for the taxi to the motel and to get around Auckland during the day.

I'd like to make the request that only people staying at the motel are allowed into the rooms. This means no inviting other people to the motel either during the day (so they can leave bags in our rooms) or at night.

I ask this both for safety of items and things and also just so that we can manage people a whole lot easier.

Kat has invited people over for a pizza party on Sat night, before the karaoke. And no I don't think we had a clue that that was what Kat was thinking. But she has said it now. Hopefully there is some outside area we can party in.

The odd person may want to stash their large props in one of our rooms until the next day, rather than carry it to the Karaoke.

But I would say these should be an exception rather than a rule. And they will need to be accompanied to the room anyway, as they will not get in otherwise.

There are only two ways to get into a room. 1=Key, 2=Via reception, and they have our names.

I will bring this up with the Karaoke thread.

I think having people over for the pizza + karaoke would be okay since there'd be enough people to keep an eye on anyone.
But that's a good idea about no people when no one else is around/staying the night. Otherwise there will be no room and it's not very fair on those of us that pay. Just making sure everyone knows that kinda stuff so we don't have to face awkward situtations...

I'd rather not have people over in our rooms at all, if its all the same.

There's the whole of auckland to go party in, and the Aucklanders should know just where the most fun places are. :/
We also don't want to inconvinence the other guests at the motel and stuff if we make too much noise.

I kind of assumed if your name was not on my list you were not staying. And if nobody is around then the rooms should be locked.

To save PMing everyone. Me and Fred and Olli made an arrangement with Jess and Alex that if Alex needed to crash he could crash in our room. That was purely because of the Chronic Fatigue Syndrome. And I trust Jess and Alex. And they kind of need to be there. And that was meant to be the only exception.

Riven I have concerns too. Maybe we could do it outside the stadium? Or we could just go to a pizza joint?
I would say most of the guests are cosplayers, or family of cosplayers? But I would say that motel is going to be a good place to meet up to arrange transport, purely because the stadium will be too crowded?

Yeah, Alex has had chronic fatigue since bout april, I think? He's getting better though, which is good - we were lucky: one of the GPs at the clinic we go to specialises in CF, so we spotted it (and thus, started treating it) quite early on. HOPEFULLY he shouldn't crash - especially as we don't have the stress of the table to worry about anymore, but it's just good for me as Alex's caregiver at the event (and good for convincing mum to let him go!) to have the option available to us. C: If it's a problem though, it's okay - I don't want to inconvenience anyone.

You said that we are getting a taxi at 7am but don't we arrive at 7? Or are you referring to it being the 'group' that lands at 7?

Also with the rooms you were going to change them to male/female/female. I am still quite aware than a few people are going to be unaware of the need for sleep...
With the female rooms are you going to have a loud and sleep room?
