2010 Events Brainstorm

I know I'm a little late, but I have such a good idea, or at least I think so. [/sonotbragging]

Okay. Here it is. The idea:

___ meets ___

You get two characters from different anime/mangas and see what happens when you put them in the same room. For instance, Tsukino Usagi (Sailor Moon) meets Yagami Light (Death Note). Or Uzumaki Naruto (Naruto) meets Kudou Shinichi (Detective Conan). Ooooh, that would be fun! You could also shove all the cosplayers [who want to] into a room and have them talk to the other cosplayers, except in character.

Would that be cool or what?

That would be really really funny. The cosplayers would have to know the characters pretty well though.

We did actually have that planned for this year - we were going to call it "Deadliest Warrior" and have various showdowns between unlikely pairs of characters. Will probably do it for a later event though. :)

Ummm... late to the forum.... but I had an idea... well, actually, using your ideas and extrapolating a bit.
You've already mentioned events such as Archery and Plushie Racing, DDR challenges etc why not add more and make it

Anime Olympics, except all the participants are cosplaying in character

that way you can have medal ceremonies, with.... i dunno, some fun type medals,
and everyone has to stand for the playing of the Gold Medallist's theme song.

You could also have an opening and a closing ceremony- with dances and entertainment, and teams parading around, before the lighting of the torch.

I'm not quite sure how the teams would work though....Bandai entertainment versus.... ahhhh? what do you reckon?

I would argue that perhaps you did it right? I look at it as a sign of uncommon good sense~

I never had more than a sip 'til I was 18, and even now I drink very conservativley. But then, I don't exactly have an active social life either 8D I suppose its all about how you look at it.

Back on topic: Has the idea of a DDR tournament been broached? Becuase that would be AMAZING.
