Oh hai, Im new to cosplay and have never bein part of a Club before :3

have always wanted to tho and was wondering if I can get Info on how to get started ^_^

What sort of info?

For the events in christchurch see the CCC events thread, there is a new calander thread too, so bookmark the calender.

The first is greeting a out of town cosplayer in the square at 5pm on Sunday. It would be a great way to meet some of us. Bring $40 with you if you come, as we will have tea and maybe caddyshack or similar costly activity. Or turn up to one of the other events. None of these events require cosplay.

Also note the 4th of July is a sewing meet. So that would be a great learning experience, (unless you are a great tailor already) even if there is not anything you are working on now. If there is enough interest then we will do a fabric trip, which is always a good place to start.

For easy first cosplay ideas see the first post by me on Cosplay/General Cosplay Discussion/Help a Newbie Out? ^^; . But obviously you pick one you want to do, and is easy to start with. Pictures found here, deviant art, cosplay.com, etc are good inspiration.

There are also tutorials on this site (under cosplay somewhere?)
And if you have specific problems at any stage search the tutorials and threads, and serach cosplay.com, and the internet. If there are no useful ones then start your own thread under cosplay asking for advice.

Aura, Riven and Mandie_Chan are our resident mothers, but most people who have been here longer than me are helpful.

PS. Don't feel so bad, Mandie_Chan told me off for posting without an intro thread too!
