CNZ AMV Competition?

~~dear mods, sorry if this is in the wrong place, feel free to move at pleasure~~

Hello to all people whom this may concern

In chch we just had an AMV competition and it went really well! Fun was had by all and AMV-ness was really good

so to the point!
I would like to start some sort of AMV competition that runs Termly (every 10-12 weeks) in which anyone on the forums and make an AMV and enter.

I'm still unsure of details and if theres not many interested then i guess it wont happen. But for anyone who like making AMVs and who might not get round to entering the geddon comp (or for those looking for more comps) then yea... its a chance to get better and challenge yourself!
Was thinking might have themes or set songs, depends on what people want to get out of this i guess.

Anywho...
Anyone keen on this idea?
Got any ideas on how to make it happen?

maybe the winner could get the forum title 'current cnz amv contest winner' or something less lame, instead of something tangible.

While I think the title idea is definitely plausible, I'll let you guys know now that coloured names won't be an option, as coloured name implies mod - it leaves too much possibility for mod impersonation, whether intentional or not. n_n;

We CAN however do a title, or a special graphic under someone's name (like the stars you get at certain post ranks). Very Happy

Yea i know coloured names are out of the question... ive been nagging angie bout it for ages lol
But something special for the winner (like a name or whatever) sounds good ^_^

I understand how people can be slow and i am all for people taking their time. With the competition we just had in chch i think i made it clear i expected AT LEAST a verse an/or chorus. The shortest was just over a min...

Im my eyes it would be like this:
You have 10 weeks to make the AMV (1 term)
then 2 weeks of judging/time not making AMV
then another theme/song/song list to choose from/lalala for the next coming term ^_^

also anyone keen on judging? or should we just put them to everyone on the CNZ forums to choose their fav?

This sounds like its all worth it. oo exciting the bigger the prize the more people that will enter/work harder! hopefully im not to lazy to do it -_-

the bigger it is i guess the more prizes there are and the better the competition will be!

I make mostly TV show Fan Music Vids...got a Supernatural one going now.

But I could start doing anime...just have to DL them...lol

Tv shows are fine in my eyes.
Madhatter did a great Doctor Who AMV and i've seen some fabulous manga MVs

but thats my view ^_^
