Harry Potter coustumes!!

So i was wondering does anybody know where i could buy some Harry Potter stuff!! im only really after a tie! but was wondering if anyone new a good place to get/order them from. Im looking for stuff that looks good but is kinda cheap whee

If you're especially after a tie, check out second hand stores. They sometimes have huge stacks of ties. Real (ie, new) ties can be expensive. You can probaby get shirts and dress pants there too, unless you wanna go hardcore and wear robes instead. I'm not sure how they look as JK never bothered describing them. Academic robes are VERY expensive, even to hire, but you might be able to get knock-offs somewhere.

Alivans (alivans.com) carry everything, including scarves, ties, wands, jumpers, robes... everything. Their wands are amazing, imho. Well worth a look~

I think it's completely obscene to pay for a Harry Potter wand!! IT'S A STICK. Shocked

Go out to the garden and get a stick and massage some canola oil into it!

Sorry, I didn't mean to offend. This is me sometimes:
Don't patronise me,

I had a look at the site, and they're indeed not just sticks - they're very pretty!
But... at the same time... a WAND is essentially a stick. Sometimes a very pretty stick but still a stick. I would have trouble justifying to myself spending money on a wand, when a home-made one (stick + canola oil) would have more character and mean more to me.
Also a practical issue - if I paid that much for a wand, I'm never taking it ANYWHERE. It's going on the mantelpeice and no-one gets to play with it, or take it to cons, or ANYTHING.

Haha true. It's the same as... I'd never spend money on the BJDs that I think are wayyyy overpriced, but I have many friends who have at least one.

My sad wand story:
I made a Voldemort wand for my friend's Harry Potter party. I spent hours on it and it looked really accurate despite being made of an old paintbrush and some clay. Then... I had to leave suddenly and left it and a lot of my other stuff behind. My friend kindly brought it and my stuff to a party at my house a few weeks later, and then someone STOLE IT OUT OF MY ROOM emo

I never saw it again.

But, yes. Harry Potter cosplay is total win!
