I finally tidied up my sewing room and took photos - it was the spare/guest bedroom, but my husband got sick of fabric all over the house -

I use my dad's workshop to make weapons mostly, though it's not unheard of to see me sitting on the porch whittling a piece of wood on a sunny afternoon also..

my L-shaped desk just big enough to fit 2 sewing machines and an overlocker

my laptop gets banished to the top of the shelf next to the desk near con time 8D like now XDDD

ironing board is then permanently set up behind me as i work 8D

We have a small outdoor table with a big beach towel on it that we use for a sewing table (it also gets pins and needles shoved in it :3). For cutting and stuff we do it on the floor or on our coffee table. Mainly the floor... yeah. I stick pins in the carpet, too, without thinking. Safety first!

My floor in my room. >__<

I would take pictures but...At this point in time you can see less floor than anything else in this room >__>

Floor isn't the greatest idea i guess.

Cheri worked on her cosplay, and got my floor COVERED with floor. Litterellay. It spreaded to my bed, then to the house. It was a VIRUS man. A VIRUS

Someone necro'ed this, so I might as well join in the necrophilla.
Since I've shifted house (I own my own home now) I've started to turn my garage into a workshop/den.
Come in though the door at the left, and to your right you have my wargaming area:
Spoiler:

A bit closer:
Spoiler:

My first gaming table. It's work in progrss for part of a fortress surrounding a city (a mordern castle of sorts):
Spoiler:

My second table, more of an open plain:
Spoiler:

My painting area. Also doubles as my cosplay design and 'small work' area:
Spoiler:

Then to the left will be my cosplay 'workshop' - when I get shelves and a couple more tables and finish my lay-by on my sewing machine Your cosplay workspace - Page 3 724438
Spoiler:

Only work I have managed to get done since shifting 2 weeks ago, was my 'prototype' for one of my warhammer sabers which I found while shifting. I seemed to have lost my aluminium spray-paint, so the blade looks too heavily tarnished. I'll probably sell it as is later:
Spoiler:

If anyone's interested, I'll post pictures of the rest of my house (very) later on this week.

@Cookie Monster- Dude, you are my Hero. I wanna make swords like you, oh weaponsmaster.
I'm doing contracting work at present, so I move around a lot and stay in motels/apartments... totally jealous of people with large workspaces.

Mm.. I work on the lounge(livingroomwhatever) floor. Sewing machine gets put in its box when I'm not using it, or on the floor in front of a chair that I sit with my back against, material all over the place... At the moment there's a single sheet covering the floor, but it's not messy. xD;;

I work at night time, from about midnight to 3am(I has sleeping issues xD). I go to bed with it all messy. Tidy it up the next day. Then it's a mess again the following night. Dad goes completely bonkers at me if the floor is still a mess when he gets home from work. He tolerates the mess in the morning, tho. xD

My room is MUCH too small and dark to work in. ;___; But the lounge is warm, so tis fine. =3
