Sorry guys, Im gonna have to pull out as I have to work that day. I tried applying for leave, and swapping, but it didn't work. Looks like I'll only be at Geddon for the Saturday now, and Ive already committed to another group. Man... I so wanted to do this one too.

ETA: Is anyone going as Jun? If you're not entering a competition or anything I could probably alter a dress easily enough and make the gloves and stuff. On either Saturday or Monday. If you guys don't mind a noob.

Yeah, I was thinking about Monday, so I can do Alyx from Half Life 2 on Saturday.

Fun thought: With Dante Basco coming maybe every one in the group could pitch in $5 (or more if it turns out there's less than six of us) so we can get a picture with him... That would be awesomely nerdy, and would give us all mega Avatard bragging rights Very Happy

I have a friend who is no longer needed to work at an AuckGeddon stall
so i may talk nicely to *coughforcecough* him to join in. As something.
I dunno. Will think of something.

Saboteur, as you can see, we will LOVE you if you come on a day. Any
day is fine. We're all pretty much going mixed days XD But most of us
shall be there on Monday i believe.

Photos sound good. Ty Lee should be free...she's in the same category as the free ones as before. Will look into it when i'm done assignments. Aaah. Only 4 weeks left to work on cosplay D:

Okay, so, just looked it up.
Dante Basco (Zuko), Olivia Hack (Ty Lee), Laura Bailey (kid Trunks, Tohru Honda, Lust) and Travis Willingham (Roy Mustang) all have free signing going on =)
They're the four people i am SO keen to meet <3

LOL. I have most of Katara's fabric, just putting it together. Need to get elastic (for pants and skirt), furry stuff (hem of skirt) and white fabric (tunic rim and such). Also need shoes and struggling REALLY HARD for Wig. Suggestions?

Couldn't find any cheapish super dark olivey brown material for Jun's dress so I had to get black (and I definitely couldn't find a dress I could alter that was anywhere near my size, pretty sure I hit up every op shop in W.Auckland, and all the auction sites). Unhappy :[ Couldn't find a cheongsam-y type pattern either (that was not so far above my noob level) so I had to get a basic three panel dress thing and I'm drafting a collar that should look similar to hers. Thank God my mother is giving me a hand, otherwise this would be the worst cosplay in the history in the history of Avatar. Still might be. WISH ME LUCK.

I'm looking forward to doing her make up, trialed it yesterday and it was cool looking. Not a look I would try to rock in my daily life, haha (don't really want to be mistaken for a... yeah... a vampire GOT U).

Oh yeah, Ty Lee's VA! I don't actually own anything Avatar (shame on me, I know, considering I'm a massive fan), hopefully they have something there I can buy so Hack and Basco can sign it.

Off topic but: WOW kid Trunks and Tohru is the same lady? Nuts! Definitely getting her to sign my Fruits Basket dvd box thing.

Xiggers, just look around on Trademe for a long haired wig with middle parting, no fringe or medium length fringe and just tie it in a ponytail and wear a weadband? xD

this wig is pretty long, but Katara's hair is longish soo.. And its got curls so yeah : D Most times her hair is tied up but you're still be recognised if its not, definitly xD To make them loopie thingies just grab a few strands from behind your ear [from wig or your real hair even] and pull it to the front and tuck under wig into real hair xD If you get what i mean. D: I tried this the other day, just messing around with my wigs, it works pretty aighhtt : )

Its a bit lighter than Katara's hair but you can easily make it darker if you want xD Do the same thing for the loopies as i said in #1. Or even get extensions and slip them underneath?

I think Katara does actually have like this small as fringe, but most people just push their hair all back, if you were to get a wig like this, say its perfect etc but its got a fringe, maybe just thin the fringe out and cut it super short..?

All the animation guests photos are at noon I believe so we can probably sort all the stuff we want out then (assuming the rest of you guys want to do that on Monday, if not it'll just be me in line haha)... Does any one know how they do photos at Geddon? Do we have to pay in advance or can we just give someone $30 and get it taken there and then? >.< Every one make sure to have $5-10 left over at noon on Monday haha, I know I'm going to have to put it aside so I don't spend at all *desperately wants photo with Zuzu*

Avatar panel is at noon on Sunday. Zombie walk better be over by then, or I'm ditching it. Must make Dante Basco say 'that's rough, buddy'.
