One Piece is made by Eiichiro Oda. It's been serialized since 1997 in 'Weekly Shonen Jump'. :3

Fairy Tail is by Hiro Mashima, and has been serialized since 2006 in 'Weekly Shonen Manga'. He's worked under Oda for a while, which might explain the similar art styles (I know Fairy Tail has had some grief in the past since the art style is so very similar).

I can understand your confusion but, trust me, it's two different manga-ka. ;P

Don't worry, it's only Because we are both (nice) Rabid One Piece Fangirls that we notice these things XD
It is quite common mistake that people think they are made by the same person.

I use to love Naruto (When naruto cried over how sasuke nearly die XD), then akatsuki came out and and now the story slowing sinking :l

I like one piece better the story line just seems better imo not as dull as naruto lol
(how shank sacrificed his arm was awesome! not as awesome as sasuke nearly dieing though XD)
