Okay..

I love Twilight -raises hands- Don't shoot! Don't shoot!

I really do though. I was a hardcore fan of the book, so no matter how ungreatastic the movie turned out to be, I still like it nodnod

So there.

Surprisingly, I loved the movie. I was sitting in the cinemas like.. Shocked

"wow, that was actually okay"

Weird.

Tried reading the book and reading it and giving it a fair and go and not jumping on a wagon with Twilight haters or lovers.

But dislike how prefect Edward is, he has nothing wrong with him. He has no flaws, fangirls just spawn over him because he looks attractive ? ( Don't understand, a Edward Fangirl please explain )

Also dislike the unrealistic view of love this story puts out to young teenagers. The obsessive love. Bella is so addicted and attached to Edward, that it's almost really really unhealthy. When Edward leaves her, she wants to commit Suicide ? Honestly that's not a good example to the younger generation.

And the Vampires are not even- well - Vampires. They don't have sharp teeth, they don't suck human blood, and they don't act manipulative in a lustful manner, like a true Vampire..

Though have to admit that there is a good few characters in the story like Alice Cullen and Jasper, have a friend who loves Jasper and honesty love him too. She enjoyed Jasper's character in the movie.

Though if you enjoy the Twilight series don't mind =]

I read the books and liked them, it was just before it got REALLY big. While reading them I knew they were trashy and unrealistic and laughed/head desked at every thing Bella did but they were still entertaining. Never really liked Edward though, he seemed so perfect he was boring, thus I was on Team Jacob. (I think the reason people like him is because he is perfect, and the reader sees him through Bella's eyes, so he has no flaws. Because she is in love with him, the reader falls in love with him? Honestly the books can be summarised in three words 'Edward is hot'
Then it got really big. The fans put me off the books. Also the ending. Wtf. Biggest anti climax of my life, just as it was getting interesting.
Tis funny, my boyfriend likes the series more than I do X3 (I brought him a badge that said 'real men sparkle'

I don't like it much.

The fans are worse than the books, really.

Like said above, Edward is too perfect, although I'll always go for vampires.

I watched the movie with my sister. I was half forced to go, but I enjoyed it int he end, because I kept making snide comments about how they were physics up the vampire lore and that real men dont sparkle and funny sugar honey iced tea like that.

So, I enjoyed it not so much for the movie itself, but for the chance to be an ass~ Oh, and to fill my ammo tray for the next time anyone extolled its virtues in my hearing.

Twilight was good when there was the first book. And then the second, and then it got slightly popular. And then the third came.

And then it got massivly popular and the fourth book came out. Then I started to hate it.

1) Fourth book is utter crap. Worst ending ever. It's just a giant fanfiction.

2) The fans are scariest people ever. I have heard horror stories. Like eyes getting partially torn out becuase she said that Twilight was stupid, and a guy who told a girl to stop reading it in science class got burns all over his face when the girl threw acid over him.

3) ... The fans. Scariest people ever. My little sister found Twilight boring, but every girl at her school is OBSESSED with it. They have notes on their desks saying "[their name] Cullen", "I have OCD - Obsessive Cullen Dissorder" (which I hate because I have mild OCD >: )

The books were goos when I first got in to them two years before NZ even stocked them (they used to be incredibly hard to find, only one on stock and then took months to get another in, and was the Eurpean cover).

I'm in the "I don't really care" basket. It was an entertaining enough read, but not the greatest literary work I've experienced. I just sell it. *shrugs*

Badly written but AMUSING.
Although fourth book was...

The movie and fangirls kinda ruined it though >.<
And I was on team Jacob to!

I like the first book well enough as something light to read, nothing to think about to much. Because its bad if you think about it. Definatly dislike Edward and Bella.

They got steadily worse... The fourth book makes me want to rip my eyes out.

The movie wasnt bad, I saw it twice, which is odd considering I planned to never see it. Funny how movie timetables stuff up so much and the only movie that starts at the same time as the one you planned to see is Twilight...

And the fandom terrifies me.

I was slightly offended the other day. I overheard the end of something my friend (named Edward) was saying "...might as well call me Edward Cullen", and I expressed my distaste at that... And so he was instantly, "Oh, so your a Jacob fan?". I was all GRAH, what makes you think I like Twilight?

But anyway... Yes.

After hearing the hype and people recommending it to me left and right I thought "Hey, cool. Vampires. Awesome. This should be good."

And then I was horrendously disappointed.

I finished it the first book ONLY because I could give everyone my honest opinion.

It was stupid.

And the only reason I hate it with a passion is BECAUSE of the fandom. It's truly sickening.

It already has, to some degree. We're no longer selling 200 copies in two days (no joke, this happened the two days before christmas). We almost have too much stock now - seems like everyone already has it. Having said that, the DVD comes out soon, so the mania may start all over again. X_x

Yeah, it probably will start again with the movie. Some people in my sister's class have been to it five times Dx.

I hate the posters advertising it. They are so corny and vampire like, when the Twilight vampires AREN'T vampire like.

But then that worse thing will have a craze and it'll be just as bad.

Its even worse when the only other girls in your school who like anime/manga and even have a vague idea of what cosplay is are obsessive Twilight fans....

You know what? I'm on team JasperxAlice forever. I LOVE the supporting characters in Twilight -- I just don't like the main ones. XD (Ie., Bella, Edward, and Jacob).

The three main characters are too extreme..still like 'em though. Just a bit mopey.

Jasper and Alice..now. Those are some real characters nodnod

I quite like Carlise too, I think they portrayed him well in the movie.
