ok i like the first book the 2nd books depressing 3rd is unmemorable 4th is ...the 4th the movie i dont like they put the vamp part first twilight is a love story they should of put that first

I loved the books, my problem was i got into it just as the 1st book was released (way before all the hype) then it was frustrating waiting for each book to come out though quite worth it and i got annoyed when the 4th book came out it got suddenly big and it was really difficult to even find a copy of the 4th book

overall loved the stroy, im a huge fan of vampires and i couldnt hate the movie i still liked it alot, although i live with 2 edward fangirls and 1 jasper fangirl i can sadely say im not a fangirl - phew!

I can safely say i will see the second movie when it comes out

I'm just more subtle, I don't froth at the mouth..~~just occassionally drool and blurt out book quotes~~

I just like it (the movie) because they didn't cheese it up and they got a (slightly) older guy to play Edward.

I mean..imagine if it was Efron or something..GAH! -clutches head-

I'm just really neutral on this topic. I don't like Twilight but I don't hate it either. I read the book before all this craze and it was okay I guess. The movie... it wasn't as bad as I thought it'd be. Anybody else on team neutral?

Bluegh. I havn't read the book, but I have seen the film. I give the film a huge fail on all things filmic. The CGI is point blank terrible. Awful. Wirework is hardly a new special effect either - the Chinese have had it down PAT for decades. How come these people couldn't make it look good? I don't give a flying physics that a woman did it - it's not like she was the first woman director ever. And frankly, HAD she been the first woman director, I STILL would never see another films of hers again. The direction is bad. The acting is not terrible - it's the direction. The actors are told to do dumbass, cheap, stupid looking things. The plot is weak, but I'm told that the characters are actually improved by their being less of them. Bella in particular I loathed with the fire of a thousand suns. The guy who asks her to the prom is one of my fav TV actors and him and the rest of the bit-part-ers did a great job though.
The landscape is the only thing I really cared about in the entire film. It was GORGEOUS. Kudos to her location scout and DOP.

I just don't see what's wrong or "bad" about it at all. I think most people are just too picky (bordering on snobbish) Shocked

Seriously though... I'd rather have someone yap on how much they absolutely love something rather than whine about how much it "sucks" (pun unintended).

I've totally had it up to there -points to sky- with the negative scathing comments about Twilight.

Blarg, I guess that's what happens when you ask.. sigh

But, again I'm biased 'cause I frick'n love it.

To be honest, I find someone continually raving on either side of the bridge to be painful. Yes, you get sick of someone bitching about the same thing all the time, but after the first 17 hours of hearing a fan rave about how amazing they think something is, you get a liiiiiiittle bit pissed off, lol.

I work in a bookstore. I have the in-field experience on this matter. XD

You did ask. I havn't read the book, and so I don't comment on it. But I DO NOT like the film and see no reason to say I do. If you have any emotion caught up in how other people feel about a film that you didn't make you're taking it too seriously.

EDIT ok, so I don't comment much on the book. Just on the bits I've seen reveiws of.

Erk, well that last post wasn't supposed to come off as anything but mildly irritated. I don't care either way..it just bugs me that whenever the subject "Twilight" comes up AT LEAST one person feels compelled to be "anti"...and then as a fan I have to defend...immature, I know T_T"
I have weird urges to convert people...lead them to the light of Awesomeness.

As for the film itself..I'd agree with you if I wasn't wearing rose-tinted-glasses.

It's just like Lord of the Rings, Final Fantasy, Halo, Harry Potter and etc etc..

There is always, always, always going to be the Crazy fans and the ' This is so overrated, how can you like it ' anti-groups.

It's just life.

Whatever you like, people are going to hate.
Whatever you demise, people are going to love.

But know this sounds ' American-ish ' but also believe in Freedom of Speech and believe that your free to voice about how much you love and enjoy the novel and movie series.
But also believe that other people are free to voice how much they dislike the series..

While the milk may taste like chocolate for one person, for the other person it may taste like strawberry..
