We've hit a snag with lighting for the photos - I am apparently unable to rent flash units, for I am a student, and not a pro. I don't think they've considered that a student will be far more paranoid, and thus far less likely to break the thing than a professional who makes enough money to cover it. Silly people. Anyway, looking at constant lighting sources now, and also buying my own lighting kit - I expected them to be far more expensive than they are.

Anyway, this was totally a post to bring us back to the top Very Happy

But I'm working on lights.

Ok, what do we need to fix this? Is there anything that we could probably raid from people's garages - spotlights? My dad has this dinky construction-light thingy that make a really wide beam of light that he uses in the crawl space? Poseable desk lamps galore?

In other news, I brought fairy lights. LOTS of fairy lights *happy dance* I know Balmung could get us Richard Smith ones cheap, but the quote I remember was 10m for $30. I went to the Big Red Shed on Boxing Day and got 14 boxes of fairy lights, mostly 15m ropes with 200 lights each, for $10 a pop. Slightly under actually (19.99 at half price). So we're set for those. This is about 2500 fairy lights! Smile

There is going to be a planning meeting TOMORROW, which is the 30th of December at 6:30 pm at Gloria Jeans in Borders, at which point tickets will be available for sale. I will be there early, hopefully around six, for more ticket sales. I WILL have change for $30's or $40's.

I know that this is quite late in the evening for many of you to be in town, but sorry I can't promise I'll be in town any earlier as I have the rest of my life chasing me down right now and Sylvie can't get off work until that late.

So there will also be ticket sales in Borders on the 31st of December, some time in the morning. I think 10-12 atm - I will sit in Borders and read some manga and annoy people by not buying anything.

To recap - 30th - 6:00 till closing in Gloria Jeans in Borders
- 31st - 10:00-12:00 am in the Manga section.

As always, if you want to arrange outside these times PM/email me and I will get in touch. Or bank deposit and I will post em.

Heh, is Bleach hakama + haori stuff formal enough.

I don't have enough time and money to make something, and I also happen to lack a sewing machine. *grumble*

Also, I just remembered, I have these big lights (atleast 15-20cm wide) that are blue, red, yellow and green, and you can hook them up to a CD player so that they flash in time to the beat. They are pretty cool. I can take photos if you want.

I'll probably join you Mel (31st 10-midday). Just booked in to get the warrant on the car done (it only expired erm.. 9 days ago). So while they're doing that I'll join you at borders. :)

Pura: the lights sound interesting. Any chance of a pic anyway?
