[WCB09] WCB REMINDER

SO GUYS. BALL TICKETS. HAVE YOU BOUGHT YOURS?

Pretty much, everybody's booking accomodation, flights, making costumes, getting excited...but not buying tickets. So far we have sold 6 - and not all of the organisers even have theirs yet! If you are coming to the ball, please pay for your ticket now. If we don't get enough presales, we will not be able to book the venue. Then we will have to cancel the ball, and then you will have to cancel your accomodation and flights and those costumes will go to waste. We do not wish to go the way of the ACB and have to cancel, because this is going to be, like, fun and stuff. Duh.

We nearly have enough to pay for the venue, but so far feeding you all is going to be a problem! Mel can handle direct handovers of money for ticket if you can't do a transfer to Jp, just PM her and arrange a time/place. SO BUY TICKETS NAO PLZ.

OK. That transfer u_ne_korn/Static mentioned last night for Sian has gone through.
I've also just transferred my payment into the account aswell. :)

I need 3 tickets but I only have enough money for 2, is it OK that I pay for the first 2 then the 3rd one on Monday.
So you guys can send the tickets all together next week?

ive got mine

we need at least 15 pre sales or we would have to seriously look at cancelling the ball so come on guys if you are going get your tickets so we can get a solid idea on wether or not it is worth having

OK. Just on the getting tickets to people, or for anyone that can't do bank transfer, I will be travelling around most of the wellington region on Monday (van delivery run). So Mel, i'll grab some tickets off you, and if anyone wants to meet up on Monday and pay I can give you a ticket then and there.

Run essentially goes through Wellington CBD, out to Airport Park (Rongotai/Kilbirnie) in the morning. Then in the afternoon up to Johnsonville, out to Porirua (mega centre end), over to Upper Hutt, back down through Lower Hutt, and back to the office. So if you don't want to do the internet banking thing and arrange it in advance I can meet up somewhere on the run.

Double post to bump the thread.

Well, since noones got back to me about dropping any tickets off to them on Monday I guess you're all down to arranging to meet up with someone to give them money, or doing a bank transfer.

The balls only 3 weeks away now, so we really need people to put up their money and buy tickets so we know how many people to expect. Especially in terms of catering for the nibbles/snacks. It's just a wee bit difficult to plan food and get the quantities right when you don't know the final numbers.

So if you can please sort out your tickets now, do so. If you intend on coming but can't afford to pay for the ticket right now, also let us know, and when you expect to make payment. That way we can at least work with some approximate numbers. :)

What ball? THE BALL. The Wellington Cosplay Ball, to be precise. A fun filled evening of costumed shenanigans with nibbles and happy fun times. Held at St Andrews hall on the Terrace, January 10th. Cosplay encouraged, but not compulsory; formal attire is.

Oh yes, and semi-professional photographer (haHA if you get the joke) on hand for portraits and silly photos.

OK, I will be in town TOMORROW, Xmas Eve, with tickets. If you PM/Email me tonight (before 7am tomorrow morning) I will give you my cell (or if you have it already feel free to share it just not on the open Internets PLEASE!) and I will make arrangements to sell you your ticket. Best times are 12-1 and after 5 as I'm actually suppossed to be working. On Xmas Eve, *sigh*.

does it matter or not if i have the physical ticket?? cause the next time im free is this saturday

On the basis that you're gonna be there helping and showing up with a tonne of sushi, I'm gonna make an executive decision and and say no, Balmung, YOU don't need a physical ticket. But if you WANT one, I can post it out. Once I find envelopes...

i know you can get a catering kit from umi sushi for 55 if you give them 2days notice

I've said we can use my old's rice cooker! And the julienne-thingy and the deep fryer! But totally if we can get sushi for practically as cheap as we can make it, check it out!

If it comes to it I'm not adverse to buying a rice cooker, i've been thinking about getting one for a while anyway, but it's worth finding out if we can get cheap sushi predone anyway. :)
