Anyone else buying or brought rockband ? im waiting on my 360 version to come out on the 24th of Oct XD not long to go!

ROCKBAND IS AMAZING. <3

I myself don't have a copy, but one of my friends does. :) Are there any major differences in the gameplay between the different consoles?

Not really. I just got Rockband this week. I would suggest getting Guitar Hero World Tour though, since it has a better range of songs and the instruments are all different and can't be used univerrsally with Rockband.

wait for world tour the rock band instruments are rubbish the drums in particular and the world tour gives the actual recorded songs not covers....

My soon-to-be-flatmates have it, with drums guitar and mic. Holy crap, BEST GAME EVER! Whoever thought it up is a goddamn genius. Most fun I've had in a long time Very Happy

it's especially good when mildly intoxicated - not so tuneful, but hella fun.

I tried both out at Auckgeddon, and would recommend World Tour. I didn't know half the songs on Rockband! World Tour was more diverse (i.e. it had some older stuff like "Livin on a Prayer" and "Eye of the Tiger", which I really got down too!) and the drumkit is way better, more realistic.
Hey we should totally get a band of cosplayers together to rock out a few songs, next Auckgeddon/Convention!

We have/had World Tour pre-ordered, only we just found out that as of yet, there is no 'instrument bundle' for World Tour, so if you buy game, or game + guitar. The only way to get the rest of the instruments is to buy the game again with the+guitar+drums+mic bundle. Grrrr! I want all of it of course, I just don't know if we can afford $400 for it right now, but there is no way in hell I'm paying $550 to get two copies of the game and the instruments.
I've played rockband, it's awesome and cheaper than World Tour (hopefully WT goes down a bit by release date...), but I agree about the song choices. However, I think Rockband is really old now isn't it? Wasn't it released in the US about/over a year ago? That's a long time, so I wouldn't be suprised if World Tour has some things on it.

That sucks. At Auckgeddon they were taking pre-orders for the World Tour bundles, costing $450-550 but that might have been a conference special. I'm going to get one for my PS3, but I hear that theres a big problem in the states, with the first lot of shipments, as some of the drumkits don't work. Anyway, they're fixing it, and I just hope it will all be sorted before it arrives here.
What platform were you gonna get yours in Psudonym?

Get world tour.
Then you can play your rockband games on your Would tour set.
