H'okay, I'm probably gonna shot down here; but Tammy & I have been talking, and we both agree that the current layout is a bit boring.

With almost 300 members, it's probably time to break away from "standard box layout #1".

What are your thoughts on this - change, or no change? :3

if you have any particular themes/styles you want to see, please yell them out at us.

i think change is good ... as long you dont change the general layout ie change it so we can still find everything =D

but i think a change in look is in order =3

I don't know just how extensive of a change you are planning on making, but I have one little feature suggestion. You know how we have the lovely text circles next to the categories that turn red if there are new posts in the category? On several forums I've been on, if you clicked it, it marked all unread posts in it as read. I always thought that was fairly useful, so I'm not constantly being distracted by new posts in sections I dont care about.

Just a nice to have, but hardly essential.

As you know, I vehemently oppose it, but I'm also not the only person here, so majority rules wins. My one request is that we get to see a screenshot preview of the new one/s and get to vote. The last couple of skin changes were god awful.

Now, are we talking visual changes, or practical changes?

Coz IMHO I like how the forums are currently laid out in their sections - as long as it's not god awful, I don't mind a change to the visuals, but I will bite the fingers of anyone who tries to play with the physical arrangement of the forums/subforums without good reason.

As for me, I'm currently in ubergeek mood, yet complete idiot state. Was supposed to have an early night.. it's now 1.22am. The reason for the early night was so I could get to work early, to skive off early to goto Keyshas going away gathering.. instead I'm still awake. On the upside I've successfully bludgeoned my iPaq GPS/PDA thing into submission and got an NZ map running on it. Still needs work, but it got pretty accurate, thought I was only next door on a street map. Also apparently 99m above sea level. LOL. I live on a hill. With a bit more bludgeoning it might even start doing other things I want. sad

Now while my brain turns to mush and liquefies I'm going to bed.

It's when the innuendo starts getting too graphic that I worry. xP And while I'll agree that kids *my* age (17) are about as bad or worse, the thirteen year olds most certainly aren't. If my little brother (Admin) saw that thread... well, you get my point. :)
