To stop the side edges of your underwaerz getting bloody. The wings fold over the edge and under, thus protecting the sides. They also have the added bonus of helping the pad stay in place. Really good for night time when you might roll on your side. >.<

Eeeeh. I don't really like tampons. It feels.... weird, I guess, walking around with something up there. Even if you can't feel it, just the idea of it makes me squirm a little. *is weird like that*

You gotta fold the cups up to get them in: http://community.livejournal.com/menstrual_cups/453392.html?thread=4016400. As for getting them out - you gotta go up there and get them and it usually helps to fold it as you do so. This also stops suction.

Mirena's an IUD? There does appear to be some issues there.

FLURO tampons? Um, no. Winged? WHY? Are we not shoving enough up there without bits that look DESIGNED to fall off and stay up there?

Yeah, those are cloth reusable ones. Ok, I'm prepared to admit they're better for the environment, I'm prepared to admit that they're funky, I'm prepared to admit that keeping chlorine and chemicals and stuff away from your girly bits is a good thing. But I can't imagine that those cloth pads are comfortable, and the idea of sitting on a blood soaked wad of fleece squicks me out worse than anything I've encountered lately. Much worse than a disposable in that regard. And the chafing! And WHAT stops them from turning all the way around the crotch of your knickers and therefore doing nothing?

I just got my period 2 days ago. DDDDDX

People, I am like the "I need a hottie on my tummy and owowowowow, so sleepy" sort, along with "I've got poo and fart stuck there and it makes the pain worse-oh dear, camping on the loo needed again - darn it won come out" sort. "Arghhh, I think I'm gonna - *dashes for the toilet and pukes*" 2-3 times a day. I can hardly eat or drink.... x:

Before I got a chiropractor to fix up my spine which was out of place because I fell off a slide when I was small, I was like "kicking my legs and want to pull my hair out because of the pain even though there's a hottie on my tummy and I'm inside my covers" type, puking and cold sweat, etc etc. Chiropractors do work! It just depends on if you go to an honest one, or a crap dude.

Mooncups sound weird.... I'm not sure if I'll be comfortable using them though. I'm scared to use tampons even, so I only use pads.

*Hugs* I don't get bad cramps but I do get chronic headaches, had one so bad last month that I had to go back to bed, missed the CCC xmas party because of that, yeah I was NOT happy about that at all! Mad

My boobs swell a cup size and are so freakin sore for about a week beforehand! Mad

I normally get other symptoms the day beforehand or on the day. Some periods I am an emotional wreck as well as sore, yet other periods I'm fine! o.O Does anyone else find this? I prefer using tampax tampons, that way, thanks to the string, I don't have to get *Ahem* messy and all, you know what I mean girls! Embarassed
