K, just got the reply. She's at spotlight letting it maul her creditcard (even with that voucher).

She's up for a meeting. Anywhere in town. Borders/Coffee?

Do you want me to bring along any of these cookbooks? They're kinda heavy so I'd favour somewhere a bit more car accessible if you have any ideas.

Alternate Idea, borrow a few from Borders while we're in there to decide the menu, then look up the recipes again later if we need to.

Bring pen and paper, borrow the book from Borders and write down the recipe.

Is that stealing? I did that once. 'Cept I used a pen from the store too and my hand ;D.

Hall
Is there a fixed time where we need to be out?
This will be answered by the mythical contract
Booking is for 6-12, ($150) will investigate cheaper setup time and things this week.
Rules, ie Fireexit, alarms etc, cleaning requirements. Arranging access. Max capacity

Lights
Will still be daylight when we get in – blocking out windows?
Fairylights – Boxing day specials (Boyfriend now gets 12.5% off due to new job!) and
borrowing from people
Will need to get people to label

Decorations
Fairy lights
Fabric to hang from ceiling - Mel is sourcing. Will hopefully have enough for a pretty tent effect
Ropes to hang it from and safety pins to attach
Bits and bobs?

Photography
Slyvie has hired awesome-ness
Will set up corner for photos.

Sounds
JP has stereo and laptop to connect to it
To be on opposite side to food.
Music will be pre-determined and not to be tampered with as this is a major pain in the
butt.
Each ticket entitles you to request 3 songs, all will go onto playlist that shall go on
Random for the evening

Power
There are a few outlets. Between the lot of us we should be able to scrounge enough power boxes and extensions.

Food
Chilli bins for bringing frozens in
Cooking
Boiling– Saveloys
Deepfrying (my mum’s benchtop deepfrier) – samosas, onion rings, camembert (? Couldn’t see any), spring rolls, anything else applicable
Oven – savouries, noodle cake thingies, Sylvies foccacia
Crockery
Paper/plastic for eating
Raid my stash for serving
Stagger bringing it out so it doesn’t all get eaten
Easy on the sauces to protect costumes
My sister works at greengrocers for cheap veges

Clean up
One set council bags – these can be left in my garage till pickup day. If put in some
kind of bin to prevent over filling.
People to bring Ajax etc (koha to them) and swoop around cleaning at high speed.
Dump everything into car – JP did you get OK on van?

Security
Big burly men – my Dad, possibly my brother, some attendees will be burly and will have
big prop weapons
Tickets – Location will be on tickets but not advertising
Logic – those in the know (ie people we want) will know, gatecrashers wont
Door sales – OK if they’re with someone who will vouch for them, maybe jack up price to
encourage presales
Prop weapons – do we want a ruling on metal/wood/things that might actually hurt
you?

Booze/ciggies
NO booze. At all. Will be confiscated if found
Smoking outside (fire exit door? Sylvie to bring ashtrays.

Advertising
Usual suspects, plugging on the forums.

Tickets
Sylvie is working on paper ones
Cash to us or electronic
JP’s account or I have a spare one I never use as well. Is Jp’s one occupied atm?
Take name, ticket number and any +1’s and song requests
Will see about staking out Borders for selling.

I just knew the forums would eat my beautiful formatting, had to do it over.
Can I post a speadsheet? No apparently not. Have budget spreadsheet in easy-to-use .xls format, complete with colour coded "YOU HAVE SPENT TOO MUCH MONEY" Labels for anyone who wants it

Gonna sound them out on the van tomorrow when I'm working in the Auck office. Will put a reminder in my phone now.

The accounts more or less free at the moment. Probably going to use it for SCP when it happens but that finishes the week before, so keeping track of any other payments shouldnt be an issue as long as they name/reference them with their nick and camp or ball.

Wonderful! It'll be a word document for now, I'll convert it when I get my laptop back this evening. I'll fix the logo too, but this will give you an idea of what I have planned XP

EDIT: Pre-selling is JUST about ready to go live! Need Jp's account number and some system for us to not double sell ticket numbers, not that that's really a HUGE issue. Or, one of us can handle it. I'm quite happy to do that.

I am planning to be selling tickets at the picnic, physical ones ready or not, so if those 5 are going to be there I'll be selling then. If not, probably the best way is to get their contact details and I'll email them details as soon as I know them.

Argh, trying to converse by forum.

He mentioned it was fine, even though the Southern something-or-other was still using it but I don't have his account number and have no intention whatsoever of posting it on the web.

EDIT: Brain hurts - Balmung whats that estimate for vege rolls? I can spreadsheet it Very Happy

Ok, well we'll let him give us the go ahead on that then. I'll finish up the tickets tomorrow, print them wednesday. It may be easier to have just one person handling ticketing to avoid confusion - any volunteers?

EDIT: I volunteer to handle ticketing. I am planning to be at picnic anyway, I can just get JP to tell me when money comes in and I am near town so it's handy for me to meet people there who want to buy tickets at odd times.

Oh, and I went to chase up the contract AGAIN and still no joy. The lovely lady at the church has been sick.

it would be good to have helpers and yes please as i would probably need more than 1 rice cooker
