Any tips for brightening a wig?

See, I bought this wig. It was perfect looking, you know? The kind you only see in a dream... okay, maybe not that good, but it was good enough for me to go 'OH I CAN USE THAT.'
Unfortunately, I got it, and.. there's no kind way of saying this;

Luckily, Nao Yuuki from Mai HiME has... a mullet!
UNluckily, her hair is a little bit more red than MULLET (as the wig is now known as.)
So, does anyone have any tips for making a wig just that little bit more brighter? (yes, I passed english with these skills. I hope D: RESULTSNOWPLZ)

unfortunately, as far as i know you can only make wigs darker because bleach etc. don't work... it's not a great solution, but i'd say just photoshop your wig brighter in your photos.
