I agree!!! *is imagining boobs growing and shrinking o_O*

@syne Hmmm, yes, this is a good idea. Where do I get the right sort of sports tape? The only type I can find in my house is my brother's black rugby-sock tape, and I'm not sure that's what you're meaning. Just out of curiousity, do you know how much medical tape is? Like the soft stuff? I heard it is not painful at all.

see for normal binding a use elastic and hook an eye tape rather thank bandages. (no roll and extra squeeze) i hear a lot of Drag kings use gladwrap and a hair dryer. kinda Heat wrapping them selves.
I'm an F cup so for sanity i usually cosplay girls but boys have awesome outfits

How do you do it with elastic? That sound plausible... The heat wrapping sounds extreme. I'm going to go to my pharmacy tomorrow to see what tapes they have...

I would mention one thing on this (from personal experience, not cosplay experience) that if you have asthma - it would wise to be careful how much you bind/flatten as it can cause uneeded tightness in the chest.

It's just a word to the wise to be careful, not everyone will have the same problem and as the person above me has obviously experience in making things, the more safe the product the more official the product the easier it will be on lung issues/asthma.

(I used to use the worst product, a cut open stomach girdle and the elastic band used to cut into my chest badly)

...again my experience isn't cosplay, it's other/personal lol.

Very good point to make. and you also have to watch those wonderful Cosplay games in them. Though two of the shinzo group last auckland wore them and they did well. no one Died on us, or felt faint.
but you do have to consider all you will be doing and all you will be wearing as well. you dont wana make your cosplay hell you wont enjoy it

Exactly my point, i would indeed like to know for future use of course - what good tips are there for people with asthma/lung isssues (So you're not cutting off blood supply like i stupidly did XD)

And honestly, my experience wasn't cosplay.. it's safe to honestly say i had a point where i was seriously involved in the tg community to the point i thought i was one XD.

... that's why i posed the "be careful" because i see so many starter ftm's going "WTF. I HAVE NO MONEY AND I AM NOT A COSPLAYER >O I AM A MAN!!!!" and usign the nearest ducttape/acebandages XD

:)

anything made to measure is a good plan. The ones i make are small and intended for a days use, i wouldn't know how they would stand up to Every day sort of ware the an Ftm would need for it.
I've seen and elastic Device Created similar to how the 1920s corsets use to be (when looking like a boy was fashionable) and one day if i have enough time money and some one willing would like to attempt something more for everyday where.

I would suggest you look away from some of the Asian shops unless your small. (I'm a good Kiwi F)
and i had a look and they couldn't handle my chest size let alone my Bust, and i don't suggest wearing a bra to small to make them smaller to get in. Good bra first Good support, then something to take them down

people underestimate a good Bra. i found the best berlie sports bra its like reign forced with this layer in the middle of it and these funny little stitch lines that give you super up lift. it was like $90 but it was the only one that fit and i can jump in. A good bra makes your boobs look less obtrusive and make you look thinner

I'm a 10D and I can bind down to flat by using a roll of bandages tightly (I found this out in the holidays 8D), this may restrict your breathing a lot though, using more will allow you to breath more but may leave a bump from more fabric, alternatively, what I do when I usually bind is use tape and open shirt bind using sports tape as it's more secure (it does hurt taking it off, jump over to the thread if you want to follow this way) and before the holidays it was the only way I had ever done

Ugh. ALMOST thought about doing the total 100% guy gintoki thing, but i have asthma and i remember binding crapily with cut up girdles, and how they'd roll up into my ribs and i'd be coughing and hacking by the end of the day.

I guess the whole "BREATHING AND BINDING " Thing doesnt go to gether?
.... if it doesnt, i'm doing "Gintoki fell into the pond of jusenkyo"

Just to throw in,

I brought my chest binding thingy from Taiwan.

AND THEY WORK GREAT. (For B cups like me)

It lessens out the trouble of getting tape or bounding it. You just kinda wear it, and clip it/strap it, what ever.

I would reccomend getting one if you are cosplaying Male characters. Hell, wear it when you are not cosplaying.

Though, if your boob is like...Insanely large, you might need to double check with with the seller.

They are mostly made for men who has man boobs, to flatten them out to look feminime. (sp?)
