OH GOD HIM.

Recognised him from last year in the Saturday line, so made a conscious effort to avoid eye contact. I whipped out my phone and pretended to be frantically texting/calling someone/otherwise preoccupied, in the hopes he would ignore me. He did not.

Yeah, I don't like the term otaku either because it's seen as an insult (and in a kind of perverted way to me/dodgy way).

Isn't that called rude then? If you were on your phone (even just pretending) then he shouldn't have interrupted you xD.

I know the one. I was in my Umbrella Corp/School uniform, and he came and sat next to me REALLY uncomfortably close to me... Like actually touching me. I REALLY don't like being touched by people who I haven't at least had a conversation with... And he just sent alarms bells ringing in my head.

I never really got WHY people like to call themselves that in the first place, considering its actual meaning from the word's homeland. Yet I still find people who proudly call themselves that...each to their own, I guess? I hate when someone calls me it, though. Just a 'dork' will do fine. :B

Yeah, I had a friend who always called me Otaku and I really didn't like it.

I'm perfectly fine with geek/nerk/dork though. I AM PROUDLY ONE >D.

He was. I'm admittedly awful with names and faces, but its difficult to forget teeth like his. He wasn't attempting to cosplay though....just wearing full camo.

That crossed a legal line!

Seriously you should call the cops, or talk to their parents.

Just the geek in me, but given some of the posts, I should point out that New Zeland passed a law a few years ago. Basically it make all photgrahpy in private places illegal. As well as bathrooms, etc that includes upskirts/downblouse. That is unless you are in a short skirt, and have your knees up, exposing yourself, or such like. Basically if you can reasonably expect privacy then it is illegal to take photos.
