Does Anyone know any cheaper ways to get white suit or its alternatives?

My brother is going to cosplay Auckland Armageddon 2013 as Nick from Left 4 Dead 2, and Nick wears a white suit. We found a costume website at http://www.desiree.co.nz/ that lends the costume I need, but I have to pay $55 just to use it for 3 days. So, my question is, does anyone know any cheaper ways of buying or borrowing white suit, or know a cheaper alternatives(I think lab coat might be one), or is $55 the best I can get?

Second hand/thrift stores are an option, it'll take quite a bit of digging around from store to store but there's a good chance you can find a cheap white suit there C:
