Cosplay ideas for this hairstyle...

Soooo. I bought the wrong wig. Trying to be cheap, I bought a bobbed wig to put up to (low) ponytails, but turns out it doesn't actually work that well. So my wig is electric blue and a Lulu style (china doll pretty much, tad shorter). I'm sweet with styling, I'm pretty adventurous on that front lol, but does anybody have any ideas for characters? I um...reeeally can't think of any off the top of my head! Only one that comes to mind is Ryomou from Ikkitousen, and I already made that for someone else.

...I should also say I'm not really much of a school uniform/cutesy type. Once one hits 6 foot tall, one loses any and all cuteness and just looks dumb. -____-;;;

The only female characters with short blue hair that I can think of are Rei (NGE), Eureka (Euraka 7) and Chrome (KHR).
Male characters are Athrun (Gundam Seed) and Akito/Agito (Air Gear).
I think all of those would be too light/dark though for electric blue though.

rei ayanami would be your best bet or some of the tsvets from DOC

Short blue hair character, other than the ones listed, I could suggest Cecile from Code Geass which is pretty much the same shade of blue as Ryomou. She also has a pretty chinese dress look during the China arc of the 2nd season.

There's also Kozue Kaoru from Revolutionary Girl Utena, or if you want to go for a male character, in the same series there's Miki Kaoru and Ruka Tsuchiya. Sailor Mercury from Sailor Moon (although as you mentioned earlier, school uniform is not really your thing). I'm sure there is more I can think of, but that's all I got atm

Which reminds me, maybe maybe Zashiki Warashi. It's a bit longer than a bob though... and she is a bit on the cutesy side, although it's mostly because she blushes all the time rather than her costume.

StabbyJoe: I dunno, all the art I've seen is a kind of dark blue.

Mmm, Zashiki would be good if I hadn't just done an XXXholic kimono. It was too painful an experience to do it again for quite some time...but then I could have a gang of goblins to beat people up for me Very Happy

Chrome's hair would be dark purple, if you're going based on the anime. Mukuro's the one with blue hair. xD;
In the colorspreads I've seen, their hair is near black, but still with a purple (Chrome) or blue (Mukuro) tone to it.

Personally, I don't recommend electric-blue for either Mukuro or Chrome. It tends to look a little too bright in photos. But then again, I guess it's all up to personal preference. xD

As for Chrome's hair, it all depends on which reference picture you use. x_x

OH HOLY CRAP Duckeh's ManFaye thing just made me think - I'd have to dy it and fake a widow's peak, but I could definitely use this as a Faye Valentine wig! Woohoo! Gonna go develop an eating disorder now...
