Material for movie version Black Widow? By superjumper. 21/05/12, 03:15 pm |
| So, i have absolutely no idea what material to use. I'm guessing that for the body suit i'd need about 5m of material, and i'd have a bit to spare in case of mess ups. I have a max of $100 to blow on material for this, material wise. I might be able to go higher in price if i have enough money left from my holidays coming up. Does any one have any ideas on what material i should buy? I'd be getting it from the Spotlight in Hamilton. here's pics of the outfit:
- Spoiler:
Any help is appreciated! Thank you! |

| You would probably need around 3 meters of fabric at the most. Maybe you can make a mock-up first with something cheaper. A slightly stretchy material would probably look best. :) |

| Alright, off the top of my head I can say that Spotlight isn't going to have anything exactly right for movie Black Widow, but it does have something that'd probably suit reasonably well? There's a matte black lycra you can buy there for $26 a meter, which has plenty of stretch and would be great for a bodysuit. The only other bodysuit-appropriate fabrics they have at Spotlight are waaay too shiny for BW hence why you'd have to go for the pricier option, but it'd be worth it.
I can't remember the actual name they label the fabric with there off the top of my head, but it'll be in the lycra shelves and it'll look quite a lot like a non-stretch cotton or the like until you try and pull it. |
