Hi, so This is my first time cosplaying and because my hair didn't grow as long as I would have liked it too, I'll be using a wig. The wig is currently still a bit long and I can cut it down, it's giving it the proper shape that is the problem so I was wanting any advice on possible. )The wig is for a Monkey D. Luffy (one Piece) outfit, to give you an idea on the style)

I'm no expert on wigs, but I think the most important thing is to
Just have plenty of references handy and take your time styling.

You can use hairspray and gel/glue to keep the ends spiked.
(I'd use the glue/gel first then go over with hairspray)
Not a good idea to use too much hairspray unless you need gravity
defying spikes cause it can make your wig go like concrete.

I wasn't able to find any tutorials for styling that particular wig
but maybe these will help;
