Copying my tweets for everyone:

I've made a copy of my pattern, I don't have enough paper to make more than one! I'll give it to Shinrii at ACB, to give to Lucy, to send it up to Auckland for you guys. Wellington - I have my copy, so once my fabric is cut we're good. Or, we can all cut at once.

Wait: No, Lucy can send it to Slinky in Napier, who can pass it up to Auckland :)

Right I currently in possession of the pattern which I shall copy tomorrow as I have neither paper or fabric to copy it. Shall get some tomorrow~

Also what kind of fabric were we looking at using?

And we are shooting on 3rd Sept isn't it?

Wellington people - do we all want to meet up to cut fabric, or would people like to take copies of the pattern and do stuff on their own? I will have the pattern after sunday. Will be in town on wednesday next week if people want to come by.

How long is the edge of the skirt? I found trim at Fabric Warehouse that'll work and it's 40% off until Sunday next week <:

It will depend on your height - you will need to check the skirt length before you cut. I think I'm the tallest, so...approx. 4.5m around the hem for me? That is a guess, from memory. I will measure on sunday :)

DOUBLE POST WITH PERTINENT INFORMATION - the hem of my skirt, which may well be too long for you shorties, is 5.5m all up. Actually it's 5.2, but I measured 5cm in from the edge, so 5.5 would be a safer bet. :3

On me? Right on the kneecap. It's noted on the pattern that you will need to measure from waist to wherever you want it to end, and modify the pattern to suit :)

@thread: umm any tips on making stencils for the pattern for painting?

Oh yikes. . I need to think about getting materials and a wig soon for this ._.

I used a stencil for the emblem on Battler's blazer- just used thickish cardboard, carefully drew the symbol then cut it out with a scalpel ( if you don't own a scalpel a craftknife is fine too ) also if you happen to have access, like I do, to a laser cutter I would totally recommend using that if your pattern is super detailed. If you don't trust your drawing skills, you can always use Illustrator to get it perfect then print it onto card too.

Depending on how detailed your pattern is, hopefully that method should work? I would also measure out the distance between each time you paint the pattern so it doesn't look uneven- or am I just being a perfectionist 8DD;;

Also, I have a derpy question aimed at whoever designed Wy's dress here- the lace(?) around the bottom, is it attached to the hem of the dress, or is there meant to be a second layer under the dress?

Tip for stencils - use plastic instead of card! Acetate that you get from an art shop, or you could cannibilise a folder or something. It won't get soggy or wear out like cardboard will :)
