ahhhh that is so gorgeous! i'm only lining my bodice because my material was slightly seethrough... i'm not going to line my skirt because i think that would take away from the swishiness ;^;

Yeah, I wasn't intending on lining mine at all, since my fabric has enough body I think... So do what you think is best with your own fabric? 8D And you could always just attach the lining at the top without sewing the hems together? So it's more of a slip. But maybe that's what you meant. :U I DUNNNO WHAT I AM SAYING ANYMORE.

so my dress is together now, just need to shorten the sleeves, fix the waist fit a bit and hem the skirt... plus all the painting etc etc. it doesn't actually look as bad as the photo, just that the linen creases really easy :'|

Spent like two hours getting the bodice to fit lmao. Most of it overthinking until I finally decided to google. Curse my narrow back! But yes, bodice sewn together, so then just the skirt and sleeves.

Trying to find a belt, otherwise I'll just have to get a plain brown one and modify it.

@Slinky & Lucy; that looks so good! Can't wait to get mine to that stage so I can twirl around in it 8D

Painting on my hem so far - I left my zip somewhere, so I can't finish it up completely until I find it! But yeah, painting:

Hopefully, gonna get this done in the next couple of hours and then get on with the head bow and sash. So many bows...

Edit: Also, I wound up just freehanding this. Marked the circles in chalk for the roses, and just winged it with the vines. Couldn't be bothered with a stencil!

i said it on twitter but i will say it again IT LOOKS GORGEOUS. also that purple is like, perfect. 8D i'm up to sewing the lace on, then i'm just gonna shorten my sleeves a bit, hem the skirt, make the chest bow and paint all the stuff on. *A*

Back from Spotlight! $36 for fabric, zip, thread + trim, sweet deal Very Happy

Although they didn't have any brown fabric paint sad

I got a nice leaf green fabric, is that okay for Vietnam? The only mint material they had was way too light.

as long as it's not the same green as icarus' (which i think was bright green?) then it's absolutely fine! i'm about to head out to spotlight for some sweet deals now. :999

also the fact that one pot of fabric paint is like $10 in spotlight now is ridiculous.

@Icaruskun: Idk if this is unnecessary or not but maybe mix the brown with some dark green? Idk I just have bad memories from trying to make dark red by mixing red and black and then ending up with something completely different XDD
