I'm excited for DO now. SO EXCITED.

Also regarding Doc Scratch- I was also tempted to cosplay him. Some kind folks on /cgl/ offered me a way of doing the head too.

I've seen very few successful Doc Scratches but they all leave a spot on the helmet to see out of then turn it around for photos. I'm sure there's some way around having to do that but I have yet to find it.

i got dental distortion teeth (darkness fullset) off mostlydead, went for the fullset since i figured hey for an extra $5 i could use the bottom teeth for karkat and eridan and uh basically any trolls that don't have longer canines (i ended up getting a discount on these teeth though so i got them for about 1 cent more than a half set would have cost)
another gamzee cosplayer used the top teeth for her cosplay and they looked amazing on her.
not so great on me since i have a small mouth but hey at least they work for sollux?

Yeah, a Doc Scratch cosplayer on /cgl/ accomplished it. He said he had to make the opening wider but that was about it.

Also those pictures look like they're the same person. As well as the same person I saw on /cgl/.

the fullset is like $25, the halfset is $19-something, it arrived in two weeks so you might wanna have a batch order for any and all troll cosplayers who are keen on teeth? also they sell elf ears and sugar honey iced tea, i was tempted to get a pair but then i decided it was too much hassle to colormatch greasepaints and stuff, plus for the most part nobody's gonna see my ears. the karkat cosplayer to my sollux is getting ears though so

also re: huge lightbulb/cover, i assume if the glass is tinted white then theoretically one wouldnt have to paint it and nothing will show through because there is no light on the inside? something along the lines of one-way windows and stuff. also i am not sure about painting the glass anyway, in case it makes it completely opaque and hard to see out of.
EDIT: disregard, it's definitely painted and he doesn't look like he has trouble seeing. glass paint, i forgot it existed

There are probably easier alternatives, I'm sure. But that's at least one option.

also, alrighttttyyyy... i don't think i'd go for the ears though because i don't support the idea that the trolls have visible ears, so.

lol i am amazing at photoshop is all /gets bricked. if i didn't photoshop the skincolor and horns on it looks hardly like a troll cosplay oTZ it'll be a few weeks yet before my facepaint arrives too.

and i'm spending more time/money than necessary on trolls
also clay is relatively easy, shouldn't take too long to get used to using it. you gonna be using oven bake or air-dry, bro?

I've just been looking on youtube at previous troll cosplays, saw a gamzee who'd just gone really basic. They had the black shirt, but over a long-sleeved grey shirt, and their horns were made of cardboard or something. Totally awesome. xD
