help with shana cosplay

I'm not really tall [only 148 cm TAT] so my choices are limited. So now I've decided that I would cosplay as Shana :) [since she's one of the only character I can think of] and I don't know how to use a sewing machine, so pretty much I hand sew everything [and I'm not really good at it]

I need help with making a Shana's uniform >.<

Sewing is awesome, but it can be daunting to figure it all out for yourself- do you have any friends or relations who can help you? Places that sell sewing machines often have classes too as do night schools.

Do you have any pictures of the character?

my friend has a sweing machine, but I don't think she would lend it to me, since I'm not experience with it and might break hers. I've asked a member from the anime club I joined to help me with it, hopefully she will :). I do enjoying hand sewing things though ^-^ even though it hurts my fingers a lot xD
I did dew before during intermediate school, but I completely forgot how except for stepping on the paddle part >.<

If you need to save time you could always make a kinda wrap-around-skirt ;p

Also a wrap around skirt would look ... well it wouldnt look like what shana wears.

If she does it right it wouldn't be much that difference... A skirt is a skirt really ;o

does anyone know what does the buttons on shana's skirt look like? I tried to search for it at Spotlight, but I can't seemed to find it >.<

It may help if you go and look at haberdashery, emporiums and embroidery places instead. Spotlight isn't the cheapest of places and they don't offer everything either. Razz

Have a look in the supplies thread in Auck cosplayers forum, maybe you can try out a shop near where you live?
