Wig Care Question By Mischa. 19/03/11, 03:07 am |
| Hi - what's a good (local) detangler that works with wigs? I'm not talking a full on matted mess , more like something to tame a few frizzies and aid with grooming.
Does this magical wig lube exist?

| Well there's silicon spray. But picture of what what you're working on?
I usually spend a little while brushing stuff out gently with a wig brush~

that's the one - but out of braids- looking at it again in the light of day, I think I just need to patently brush it |

| I heard that doing the bottom first is how you do it xD. But hold the top part of the strands you brush, to make sure that you don't pull the strands out.
If it gets into a massive knotted mess, silicon spray is the magical wig lube : P |

| If your wig is long and tangly, its best the brush at the bottom then brush in sections (holding them in place firmly, so the brush doesn't pull the fibres out) going up. This is so that all the tangles doesn't bunch up from the top to the bottom.
Also this thread should be in 'Wigs and Makeup' category =P http://forum.cosplay.co.nz/f5-wigs-hair-makeup
There is already an in-depth discussion about silicon spray by JVCA here: http://forum.cosplay.co.nz/t7635-silicon-spray-detangling-method-image-heavy |

| sorry- that was dumb of me! Sorry to be a bother.
I do know of the sillicon method, but I assumed that was for heavily tangled wigs. I was just seeing if there was a wig equivalent of this sort of stuff ;) :
cheers
