Dying/Painting Patent Leather Shoes?

Recently I found some shoes that would be perfect for my Telephone costume, however these are nude and I need them to be white. I only need the shoes to be white for one day, so does anyone know any temporary/permanent methods?

If it's just for one day, acrylic paint would probably work, but it would rub off. I don't think it would rub too bad though, because they are heels, not boots (the parts where boots move, like the ankle, the paint would probably flake off).

^If its patent leather, DON'T put acrylic paint on it. It won't come off so easily when it dries and it ruins the texture as well trying to get it off with soap/water. It probably wont even flake as well.

You could probably get vinyl or some such and do a quick shoe cover?

I'm trying to keep this reasonably cheap plus my sewing skills are, well, terrible xD;;

Does anyone know if fabric paint would work...?

Fabric paint won't work, it needs to be heat set :)

Acrylic spray paint works very very well on vinyl.
