i was thinking to make it out of wood but i dont know if that a good idea i need some ideas from others

This depends which version of Death Scythe you want. The simple crossbar, or the actual scythe. Dowel is very cheap for the pole and crossbar - but PCP pipe would be a lot lighter.

Blade itself could be a triangle of craft foam. There's a bunch of possibilities. Explore Bunnings and Spotlight for ideas. :]
