White hair... help please?

CNZers Help please... so I have short dark hair:
White hair... help please? 202-1

But I need to make it white, so I can look like Genji, from Umineko:
White hair... help please? Genji

How do I do this so it's temporary?
Does it go white throughout or will there be dark roots?
I don't mind it going all white, because if I don't like it, I will just cut it all off afterwards and grow it from bald.

Flour or talcum powder.

You could use hair bleach to get your hair white, or that hair color stripper, and then dye it back to black afterwards? Just a suggestion.

Hair bleach? Is that like regular bleach? Where do u get it from, and how do you use it?

Oh no, you just dust it into your hair. Put a towel around your neck before you dust it on your hair and then it will wash right out.

@Tintango: not regular bleach ;A; like, White hairdye, it's usually around the blondes.

Warning: It's really really hard to get black hair white- it usually goes brassy blonde. My sister goes white and it takes hours and complex chemicals.If you do get a hairdresser to help you :)

what about that spray on hair dye? it comes out after a wash, cause your hair is so short it should show through quite well (that stuff isn't great for lots of hair, but if anything, it'll temporarily stick to your scalp~)

Actually, the acrylic paint idea isn't bad! You could also use makeup, and apply it with a sponge. You'll get a bit on the scalp as well, but it shouldn't look too bad - and that is a VERY pro lookin' photo! ;D

Flour/talcum powder wouldn't be so good methinks, because specks would fall onto your suit and then it'd look like you have dandruff o: I'd go with what Icarus suggested, though you'd prolly get it on your scalp aswell as your hair, and that may be a tad weird looking? xd you'd have to test it though, im just guessing c: gl~

I painted my hair blue with Kryolan and it worked well and washed out. I would suggest an oil-based face paint though as it is thicker and would give better coverage and still wash out. Life Pharmacies' have a good stock of a variety of products. Another option.

Ah, the photo... yeah that was for the Yuletide event last year, I was posing as a CSI
person (Ray Langstone/Laurence Fishburn) investigating the crimescene, so I put on a tie and vest, and borrowed Dad's jacket- it's too big and you can see it accidentally bunched up in the top right corner Razz

Okay, I'll give acrylic paint a go first. I've got some white one here too.

hmmm... I tried doing the talc thing a long while ago... definitely not good [it made me looke like I had grey hair & since it wouldn't stay it also looked like I had really bad dandruff haha]. Acrylic's pretty good, but if you do decide on bleaching your hair, I'd recommend peroxide [which you can generally get in chemists/pharmacies]. =3 ...well, the other option is buying a wig xD

Bleaching your hair from black to white is pretty much guaranteed to raep your scalp.. which could mean blisters ><
And the temporary dyes could work, but they'd most likely look pretty bad, as they only coat your hair without making it lighter, so it would only go grey/silver at best...

DO NOT BLEACH IT! With hair as short as yours, and as dark as yours, to get anywhere near white with retail product you'll end up doing serious damage to your scaly... Potential chemical burns or at least the mother of all dandruff. Go with talcum powder, it's fine, and comes out of clothing easily enough, just avoid getting it on when you apply it. Flour, not so much, washing it out can be awkward, remember what happens when you mix flour and water? Delicious glue all over your head. Lol or just the spray on stuff, it's totally cosmetic, but white / silver can be hard to find offline
