Cosplay music?

I don't know about you guys, but listening to happy/jumpy songs makes it easier for me to sew/paint/glue ~~my hands together~~ Very Happy

Listening to Disney motivated me to make Ariel in one go hehe.

Do you guys have a 'cosplay soundtrack'? Get the creativity flowing? whee

Listening to violin solos makes me feel... uh... tranquil? Idk.

My cosplay soundtrack basically consists of music that relates to whatever outfit I'm working on at the time, to get my creative juices flowing~

For example, when I was making Motochika, I listened to The Little Mermaid soundtrack and other sea-related tunes, because he's got the whole pirate thing going on. For Caterina, I don't have a soundtrack because my CD player's not working. xD For {...}, I listened mostly to songs about memory and the afterlife, along with introspective-sounding instrumental music, and also songs about finding companionship.

So yeah, tl;dr: my soundtrack changes to suit every costume.

(if I did have a Caterina soundtrack, it'd probably be full of pseudo-religious songs and suchlike, for the record)

I have songs that make me think of certain costumes everytime I hear them now because I listened to the same ones on repeat when making them XD Often songs I've found through AMVs, although not necessarily for the relevant series haha.

A particular favourite of mine during the last rush of my Abel costume was 'Time is Running Out' by Muse, initially without realising the irony ;)

I agree with Tails, something energetic or something that forces some sort of emotion are great for motivation!

but when the theme song from the series of where the character is from comes on it reaaally boosts the motivation, it reminds me of why I'm re-re-re-re-sewing that one little piece <3

Usually, I'll listen to game/anime/song music relevant to the costume. But if I'm in a hurry, sometimes I just pump up the drum and bass or belt out a power ballad, depending on who's around.

(I now know that as a general rule, the frequency of head-bobbing is inversely proportionate to straightness of lines when cutting/hand-sewing/gluing, etc. OTL.)
