Also, question: Is there a toilet or something like that where I can get changed? Not very keen walking around the botanic gardens in my ball dress D:

Yes. There is one near the old art gallery behind the museum. And I'm sure there are others.

Um... currently I'm yet to find out if my work is open/I'm working but I'd like 1 of those photoshoots~

Hey everyone - shooting will take place in the Botanic Gardens, ASSUMING that they are open and accessible! Can anyone confirm this for me please? If we can't shoot in the center city, I may have to cancel unfortunately...damn you, Mother Nature! sad

Aherp-derp. I may or may not have to cancel my shoots-- I can't find some pieces of my outfits because my mother kind of just threw them into random boxes when we were packing up our stuff yesterday, and now I have NO IDEA where they are and we're putting everything into a container today. ;_;

So unless anyone has red-and-white vertical striped ribbon, red glasses with a black chain, a black tie, black gloves, and insight into where I might've put my {...} wig... hrrm. Yeeeah.

As far as I know the center city is still closed, but unless something goes wrong it'll definitely be open by Friday.

Also- which part of the Botanic Gardens? Near the playground or near the museum? Or did you mean Victoria Park, which is opposite the Convention Centre?

Alternatively the south side of town is relatively unaffected. Barrington Park is fine for example. There is a trellis and garden area, a pond area, which is a bit wet, and a rock garden area, Play ground with fort, tennis courts (secure), fitness equipment, seats, (and a school). Foot bridges nearby. Not quite the botanic gardens, but I can guarantee these parks because I inspected them myself.

I believe that Riccarton is relatively unaffected, as is most of town. Most of the botanic gardens I am guessing are fine. But I don't know for sure. There are rose gardens close to my house with trellises.

I think you're underestimating a bit Highlander. I can't say anything for the other places, but from what I've seen there are quite a lot of houses that have had damage in Riccarton - not as much as other places forsure, but I wouldn't use the term 'unaffected.'

Hey Static, I'm going to have to cancel. I can't get to half of my cosplay stuff atm, and thanks to the situation here I've fallen behind in my coursework so I can't spare the time. Sorry! I was looking forward to this. ;-;

Okay everyone - I'll be arriving in Chch tomorrow evening, and will sort out the sitiation with shooting then. So, to clarify: post quake, we have Aura and Pyro pulling out. Anybody else?

Anne: Yep, I mean the Botanic Gardens! I have only been to one end, the bit by the museum(????) I think it was? There was a circular concrete thing and we have shot there before!
