[LARP] Are you secretly an Evil Genius?

Sooo, you tried TinTango's MMD - did you like it?
Did you miss out, and now you're ticked off because it looked like the MOST FUN EVAR?

VUW Games club (aka, my minions) are throwing an Evil Genius themed LARP in November. Provisional date is the 13/Nov (which is after exams end), provisional place is Turnbull House (the beautiful Victorian building at the bottom of the Terrace). No clear idea of the cost yet, because we're still waiting to figure out how we're going to cater the proper sit-down dinner involved. But we're hoping under $40.

The Plot?
You're invited to the The First Annual World Summit of Evil Hosted by The Corpus Malevolum, (who certainly don't exist, and never will.)

We've recently found ourself without a Magnificent Overlord, and no-one is stepping forward to claim to have murdered him and take his place. So we're having a conference to pick to next Overlord.

You don't get to design your own character, instead you answer questionnaire about your Evilness. One question is:

What kind of villainous character would you prefer to play?
-Over-the-top Stereotype
-Mad Scientist
-Methodical Genius
-Brutal Maniac
-Faceless Shadow

Another q) Speaking of plot, how do you feel about your characters inevitable demise?
-Bring it on. We'll see who stabs who. In the back.
-As long as I get to take someone with me!
-As long as I get to take THE WORLD with me!
-Death is but a momentary concern.
-I do not want my character to be in mortal danger.

The earlier you get in, the more options you'll be given based on your answers to your questionnaire. There is some wiggle room, mostly in the gender side of things, but talk to the GM.

So yeah. Get to it.

There are larps in AKL all the time. Much bigger larp scene in auckland than the rest of the country combined!

This sounds seriously cool. But would it be okay for someone who has absolutely no previous experience? Because if so I would so be in.

Hell yeah you can join in with no experience, otherwise how do you learn? They write roles that have real little plots with just a few people involved, so that if you flub it entirely (like I did in my first larp) you don't ruin the evening for everyone else Very Happy
