Cosplay Lasertag? - CANCELLED

Ok, so this is probably one of my more bizarre ideas, but how many people out there (if anyone) would be interested in a get-together at Laserforce in Wairau Park (where I work ^_^), I'm considering the possibility of organising an event maybe on a friday night or something along those lines, Cosplay would not be compulsory (and even if you did cosplay I'd recommend against wearing anything overly bulky or complex otherwise you may have trouble moving around the arena), but those that did cosplay would get some kind of discount. I'm thinking something along the lines of $20 for 2 hours of lasertag (if you are not in cosplay) or $15 for 2 hours if you ARE in cosplay.

I'll need to talk to the boss to confirm exact details, but I want to get an idea of numbers before I organise anything.

Assuming I am able to get enough people interested, I'll probably post a poll with 3 or 4 possible dates and whichever gets the most votes will be the date used for it. If you can give me an idea of WHEN exams are held it would be of GREAT help.

We can have up to a maximum of 22 people playing at any one time, so if anyone has a couple of friends they want to bring along with them that is ok, but it will be first come first served with regards to spaces.

If this was sometime between the holidays (Sept 24 - Oct 11) then I'm sure you could get more people interested.

The only problem about doing it during the holidays is that Friday nights are already booked out with our school holiday lockin event, so it would have to be the Wednesday or Thursday (Saturdays are out of the question sadly)

I'm thinking the best date for the event, assuming it is during the school holidays, will probably be Thursday September 30th or Thursday October 7th. Depending on which is better for the most people, I will probably set it for that date. We will likely start at 8pm and finish around 9pm.

Ok, so I have 2 possible dates in mind, Thursday September 30, and Thursday October 7th, would likely start around 8pm and go until 9pm or 10pm depending on how many people are interested.

If you are interested, please post in here or message me ASAP (and include any other people that may be interested in coming along)

Price will depend on if we go for 1 or 2 hours, will update with price in a week or so, but expect price to be no more than probably around $20-25 (not including food/drinks)

Laserforce is North of the Harbour Bridge, you travel along the motorway, coming off at Tristram ave off-ramp. As you come down the ramp you see a small side-road leading down beside the on-ramp heading down to harvey norman, if you travel down there and follow the road, you will come to a roundabout. Going straight through you will see Hoyts and the Wairau Park tenpin bowling alley on the right. We are tucked in just behind the tenpin bowling alley.

If travelling by bus, your best bet by FAR is to take the Northern Express to SUNNYNOOK STATION, go up the ramp to sunnynook road and walk towards the roundabout, going LEFT. You will see the Wairau Tenpin Bowling Alley on your LEFT, we are just behind them.

Just wanting to chase up anyone who may be interested in taking part, school holidays are looming ever closer, so I need to start seriously thinking about making the booking, but I need to be certain that there will be enough people taking part before I can make a concrete booking. I've checked with the boss, and I will need a minimum of 10 people taking part. Which date it will be held will be dependant on which date the most people can attend (obviously)

Just a reminder as to the when/where it will be:

Date: September 30th OR October 7th (Both days are THURSDAYS)
Time: 8pm Start, 9pm-9.30pm finish (depending on how many people attend)
Price: $15 per person
Where: Laserforce Wairau Park, 21B Link Drive, Wairau Park (Right next to the big Hoyts movie theatre)

Note: If 10 people come along, we will probably be going 8pm-9pm. If 15 or more people turn up then the boss said I can run the group a bit later (maybe 9.30 or so)
