[HELP] Working with polar fleece
Post By Rolly. 15/08/10, 12:34 pm

I have a few questions regarding polar fleece... Razz
I'm working on a Gijinka version of Happy and...
Spoiler:
I'm having a bit of trouble figuring out how I could attach the white belly bit on. All my fabrics are polar fleece, namely the white, the blue and the pink bits.

Can you appliqué that piece onto polar fleece? Of course I'm not going to use an adhesive like Heat'n'Bond to fix it in place, since fleece is heat sensitive, I'm planning to do a loose zigzag stitch instead.

Otherwise, I could do a slipstitch thing and hand sew the white belly bit on?

And I'll need to find a way to get his guild tattoo on his back...
Spoiler:

Another option I'm exploring is to paint it on, but I'm not sure how well fleece will take fabric paint, with all the fluffy bits standing up and going this way and that...
I'm thinking of appliquéing it, or something similar to the belly piece.
There's also the paws which I'll need to get the black circles on.
With the tattoo and the paws I have plan to use poplin.

Erm, sorry for the text wall, but help? D:

Painting on polar fleece is a bad idea, you'll get nowhere. And don't use hot glue gun... I learnt that the hard way XD Got the glue everywhere and it was impossible to get off.

I reckon hand sewing will be your best bet C:

Lawl, I'd be the person that cuts out the shape, cut a circle out of the blue bit, and machine sew them together, but that can get tricky xDD

I'm working with polarfleece at this point for my Comp Gijinka, and I had to hand sew it.
It can be quite painstaking~
