[H!ACP08] Cosplay Chess

Don't know what cosplay chess is?
Its human chess, where people take on the roles of the various chess pieces (king, knight, bishop, etc.). A move resulting in a piece being taken from the board will cause a improvised "in-character" fight to be played out, with the loser being the piece that is taken.
Also guys you do not have to know how to play chess to join in as a piece. Only the two players aka controllers need to know chess, they will be the ones telling you where to go ^^

Okay, for those that are definitly coming to H!ACP, we're thinking of hosting a cosplay chess game. It depends on how many numbers - we need 22 (though we could probably still play it with less... I think... at least 16.) so if you'd like to be a piece let me know and also tell me who you're cosplaying.

Edit: Okay you guys can request which piece and side you want to be on... or just wait and see whats left.
I was going to try and match the characters (hence asking who you're cosplaying as) (i.e good vrs bad, or girl vrs boy team or whatever) but it might be too much since its only a week away.
Afaik its the first time cosplay chess has been held here, so this is gonna be a complete trial ^^

Also while I'm here do we have 2 volunteers to be the chess players? That actually play the game and tell the cosplayers where to move?

See if I were Lelouch then I'd totally be Black King, but I'm Zato-1 so I think I might settle for being a Black Knight, as the Knight is probably my favourite piece.

I wanna be either the black queen or the black controller.

If we are the controller, do we have to use the whole "Rook to A4" stuff or can we just say "Rook move forward two spaces?"

You can say either, but it might be easier on the piece to just say the number of spaces.
Oh it reminds me, I'll get some little sticker things to place in each squares corner that'll say A1, A2 etc anyway.

In other news, isn't there two Bishops, Rooks and Knights on each side of the field? There was last time I played chess. Have the rules changed?

Well yah pretty much, its just we're doing a different version (there is actually many many different versions of chess ^^.)
This is small chess, which the mat is designed for.
