Get XP for Cosplay!

Cassiel sent me this link to this chore management website, and in their testimonials a woman uses it for a knitting blog to get everyone to do challenges. They then use their collected gold to keep track of how much money they spend on yarn.

I say we jump on this one. So I've made a group called the Cosplay Cave! Here's the invite code:

So how it works is the Dungeons Masters (I'll make you a dungeon master if you ask to be one!) make challenges. Challenges get you the rewards of XP, gold and material rewards, which the DM's set. When you complete a challenge, you get XP and gold the trophies.

Every 2000XP you use, you level up. The different tasks have different attributes, and your stats go up and down because of which skills you use.

You can also set things up for your houses to keep track of the chores and stuff, but you need a new profile for each party you join.

So who wants to join in? Currently no challenges set because I have no idea what I should put. What challenges should I set?

A general rule of thumb is that each chore should give as much XP as it takes minutes to do.
So picking a cosplay for an event should be what... 60XP?

I thought it was just like... a weird game lol. So idk if you want to like, erase my xp or something. I wanted to see what it did, totally got the wrong end of the stick XD

Don't worry, it's a silly game and some extra XP here and there isn't the point. The point is to keep people motivated by dangling pretty incentives in front of them and by seeing other people get stuff done and claim XP. I'll chuck everyone onto "Adventurer" which means you can create adventures and decide how much XP and stuff to assign to them.

I reckon we should make it you get ZERO gold for anything that involves spending money, and that you're sposed to "spend/drop" your gold when you spend RL money on cosplay. But you make stuff and go to events and things, those adventures get you gold. (Which becomes a viscious cycle coz then you have to spend RL money to make game money, which then lets you spend RL money...)

I've added two tasks, but I forgot to put a location on one of them. 8D Hope those two will work OK.

EDIT: can the DM edit chores? 'cause if you can, can you edit the Fabric shopping chore for no gold?

yeah totally!
I think finishing a costume should be like a special adventure, and you can only do it when you actually FINISH a costume. And then there are smaller bits like "plan pattern" (int and wis) and "pin pattern to fabric (dex and wis)" and "cut out fabric (dex)".
This silly game is going to be a time-whore, I can just tell Very Happy
