SPCC - Games/Arcade night - expressions of interest

My mocks are on at the moment, and other people's will prolly be from now until the holidays (in about four or five? weeks). I think having a few things on in the holidays will be fun C:

Game night, carting, etc.

Well - considerations at the moment is cosplay or non cosplay, and also what date/day to have it.

Since i'm not a regular attendee at Timezone I'm not sure what their busy periods are, but I'd be inclined to say weekends will probably be busy, so a week night could be an option. particularly since it's only for a couple of hours, and theres no setup/packout time involved. :)

Do people prefer weekend or weekday/evening events?

Don't forget thrusdays nights can be busy too....cos it is half price night, but then that can work in out favor too XD

My brother works there. From what I hear. Their only not-busy nights are Monday-Wednesday. Apparently Friday can be very very busy sometimes right up to 2am, so can Thursday just not as often.

Monday nights are pretty quiet all through the CBD - I work on Courtenay Place, and yeah; even Wednesdays can be ridiculous! It depends what else is on, the rugby/big shows/whatever can really draw crowds in.

Fridays/weekends would be really convenient, but we'd also possibly have to pay more to get the placeto ourselves.

Getting the place to ourselves I think we'll be out of luck - there aren't enough cosplayers with enough coin in Wellington. So right now plan on being in with the usuals, so a quiet night would be preferable.

Right now I just need people to tell me what times/dates DON'T work.

ie: if people have exams until xyz date - let me know and i'll book after that, or sufficiently before so it doesn't interfere.

If someone wants to put their hand in the air and pick a date let me know, otherwise I'll just arbitrarily choose one. Razz

although yeah, Weds might be a good night. Middle of the week, semi-quiet, so not too many people to get in the way. :)

Mock exams start 6/09/10 and end 10/09/10. Can do all days except Saturdays and Sundays.
