Giant bow

I'm making a giant bow (about half a metre each way) and have no idea how to do it or where to start!! It's a floppy one so I don't need wire.. does anyone know where I can get a pattern, or something? I don't have enough material to do trial and error which is my usual way of figuring things out, and I'm going abit mental!

Wait, can you go mental even if you were already mental? Who knows, but any suggestions will be so awesome.

Well I've never made a bow quite that BIG, but normaly what I do is just get a huge retangle peice of fabric and then tie it into a bow. If it's huge, huge I get someone to help me.
I normaly fold the fabric in half first, then make two loops to make sure they're even, then try them togeather, untill I like it. The hand sew it together in the middle just to keep it from falling apart

Did you want a bow with like, loops? If not then you could just make giant rectangle then a long thin one to wrap around the middle squishing it all together.

I interfaced it a lot to keep it upright but If you just want to floppy then don't bother doing that lol.

If you do want one with loops, you do the same thing azeria has shown, except have your rectangle as a wide tube of fabric. That's how Duckeh showed me how to make big (and little) bows~
